CEL Judgement Order Despite AOS on MCOL- May be an error?
All
I am in dispute with CEL again at my wife's hospital car-park
They have sent me a claim form issue date 21 Apr
I filed AOS 7/5/26 (within the 5+14 days)
I seem to have transposed two numbers in the claim number on MCOL
I have however used the password associated with the correct claim number and it is all shown dated on MCOL
The system seems to have missed this and issued the payment order?
I still have a few days to file my defence in my eyes?
How do i correct this or have i messed up, surely the password shouldnt have worked with an incorrect claim number?
Thanks

With an issue date of 21/04/26 and having completed the AoS in a timely manner your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 26/05/26
What is the status of the claim showing on MCOL?

What payment order do you refer to; there is no judgment in default showing on your status page. Suggest a phone call to MCOL is in order.

Looks like you replied to the wrong claim form - weird that CNBC accepted your password - and, as such the real claim was "not replied to" and the claimant has applied for and been awarded, a judgment in default.

But I will send you a pm, as this might be able to be resolved without that high cost.

I know, it feels like a failure on the MCOL system, I'd assumed it was all going through

Resolved - including other cases all rolled into one - by my solicitor contact who is taken seriously now by CEL's legal team.
Background:
2 car family; hospital nurse, sometimes uses her car and sometimes his. She didn’t notice (probably wasn't clearly informed) when CEL came onsite and instituted an e-permit system. Didn’t get e-permits for either car and racked up dozens of PCNs.
They had already defeated a multi-PCN DCB Legal claim first. Then the direct CEL claims started coming in thick & fast.
This needed unpicking! My contact says:
"The D had already agreed to pay £70 for one of them in mediation (but didn’t pay it). Two more claims arrived on the same day. Filed AOS but no defence for one of those and ignored the other.
Turned out they also had other LBCs awaiting claim forms."
Sounds totally overwhelming for them.
Eventually, he negotiated a global settlement to clear all the cases for £150. He makes no money from this: £150 was the settlement to CEL, bearing in mind the offer already made at mediation, and all the circs. No PCNs are outstanding and no CCJs remain.
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!
