First of 2 in one day! Please could I get some advice
Hi please could I get some advice.
I received this NTK from Apcoa for parking at a Train Station. I actually have a receipt from Ringo but it was paid on exit and I think you're supposed to pay on arrival. I understand that appealing for clemency doesn't help with train station bylaw tickets? Is there anything wrong with the wording on the attached NTK that I could include in my message to them?
Thank you in advance for any help and this wonderful site!
Kind regards,
RK

How long did you pay for? The FULL stay?
You will never have to pay this invoice and could just ignore it (but tell them if you change address).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The pcn was not issued under bylaws, its a Parking Charge Notice under contract law

And you can simply ignore APCOA.

Thank you @Coupon-mad.
I paid for a "day" which is the units Ringo makes you choose. That turns out to be 12 hours 37 minutes 42 seconds.
Ringo says:
Session Duration
29/04/2026 3:22 PM - 30/04/2026 4:00 AM
Parking Charge says:
Day of Contravention: 29/04/2026
Entry Time/Date: 07:42:17 29/04/2026
Exit Time/Date: 15:24:00 29/04/2026
So I paid for 12.5 hours and parked for 7.5 hours.
Should I at least send the appeal with the Ringo receipt and then ignore?0 -
You can do, as keeper, but do not reveal who was driving, no I or MY etc ( nothing to lose if done correctly. )
Appeal as keeper based on no contravention occurred because full payment was made and a copy of the receipt is attached
No need to mention who drove or who paid, people make mistakes when appealing due to inadvertently saying who did what

You are allowed to pay at any time whilst the vehicle is on site. 'A 'pay on arrival' rule is banned in ANPR car parks.
It looks like the driver did pay in full whilst still in the car park. Definitely appeal. Was the correct VRM selected on Ringgo?

Thanks both.
Yes the correct VRN on the Ringo VAT receipt matches the ANPR etc.I've already made a complaint to SW Trains so I'll wait until the eve of the 14th day in case they cancel it, then go ahead and appeal and keep you posted.
