Do I need to admit to amount on MCOS?

Wait for a pm as I said, because its too late for MCOL

No. Nothing on MCOL. Too late.
You have a couple of weeks to sort this out but I'm not convinced you will because the instructions we gave already were so simple and time-bound.
This is now a massive headache and you have got yourself a CCJ. We are overwhelmed by such cases and there's a limit to the help on offer. Normally there is a way to settle this for less money but this isn't good timing for extra help.
My goodness you dropped this ball and would have paid nothing. You only had to follow our advice & deadlines, how did this happen? It's the worst case scenario.

You could pay it before 5th July and it would not go onto your credit record. Have you received the judgment letter with dates and "how to pay" instructions? The alternative is to apply for set-aside using a N244 form (see the NEWBIE sticky) but you will need a good reason why you did not respond to the N1SDT claim form as judges don't like credit cleansing.

Correct if using the official route, but
The other alternative I suggested is normally a pm from someone who knows what to offer privately, and why, to settle the matter

Yes but he's busy this month. Might be able to help in a couple of weeks if the OP reminds me around 22nd June.
It will save them a fair bit of money if they remind me then, but given how easily this ball was dropped I am doubting this will be rescued because it looks like the OP struggles to follow advice & deadlines.
I don't want to put them at risk of a permanent CCJ.
