Refund from Complete Saving subscription
earlier this month I found that my husband had unknowing signed up to a Complete Savings subscription after making a purchase from Jacamo back in 2016. £10 per month was being bebited from our account for 8 years after which it increased to £15 per month.
After seeing your article, I contacted Complete Savings and canceled the subscription and asked for a refund of the payments made, stating that my husband had signed up to the subscription service unknowingly. We were automatically refunded £54 and sent a claim form to appeal for a further refund. We filled out a very simple form and after a couple of hours we were amazed to receive an email stating that a further £1,935.00 would be refunded.
Yes that’s a total refund of £1,989.00. What a result, thank you Martin.

Good result but why are you thanking Martin? Abby wrote the article not Martin and Martin sold this site to MoneySupermarket for £87m a long time ago.

Well done but didn't you notice or query the £10/£15 going out of your account every month for years !?

Despite all the slagging off this company get, despite people not checking what they signed up to & reading the emails they send out.
They have always refunded for years people who contact them over this & never used any of the discounts they offer.
They even have a free phone number 🤷♀️

I agree, and I think the point has been made several times that Complete Savings when used correctly can be a profitable product to use.
It's just the deceptive and unclear method that they have chosen to use to sign people up for their product that people have problems with - hence every complaint on here is about unnoticed sign-up and subscription collection - not the product itself.

If people read the T/C on the link when you purchase something & get the offer of the cashback. It is as clear as it can be.
Many of us have tested this, so we can advise customers when they come to us about this.
Sadly it's the old "Oh look cashback" click on link & never read T/C or the emails they send out 🤷♀️

100% correct.
And I'm always gob-smacked when people don't check their accounts for months and even years…
