My wife and I are taking our little 7rd old for a little hotel stay over in half term as she is desperate to stay in some UK hotels so we thought we would make a little trip/holiday of it but are trying to do so on a tiny budget.

We will be in Whitley Bay from early Wednesday 27th and staying over until lunchtime on the 28th when we are off to Newcastle for the day and night.

Can anyone recommend any cheap but still nice places to eat for either day, maybe with special offers on or discounts for signing up to emails etc…. Or anything we can do whist there that may be discounted? Attractions, shows or things like bowling etc… We were thinking about maybe going to the Baltic art gallery in Newcastle but not sure how long our little 7rd old will enjoy that for.

open to ideas and thankful in advance for any help folks!

Beamish? Where are you from? If you buy a particular ticket you can use the same ticket for up to a year I understand. Depends if you're driving though as it's a bit out of Newcastle.
