Good morning
Sunny at the moment but has been raining. I have had a rough night, upset stomach and now have a sore throat. Hope I can get over this as I have my cataract surgery booked for Friday and don't want it postponed again. Haven't eaten yet and only having sips of water, but planning to do sausage and mash tonight, will see if I fancy it.
Gers, safe journey and I hope the service for Lionel goes well, enjoy the 25th celebrations too.
Dp1, sorry to hear that your DM is deteriorating so fast, you're all in my thoughts. Sending love and hugs x
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers - have safe journeys to your events.
Yesterday's forecasted rain didn't arrive until very late evening and continued overnight so everywhere looks fresh and green this morning. It was quite sunny but windy (so much for gentle breezes 🙄) with below average temperatures that are also the order for today - still in single 'feels like' figures - and light showers at any time. Surely we must see some improvement soon!
The list of pottering jobs won yesterday - nothing major, just little things (shower head, door handles, light switches and sockets all cleaned 🙂) but it did bring a sense of achievement unlike some days when I wonder what I've done all day. I also renewed my energy fixed price plan and will need to adjust my annual budget spreadsheet figures when I do the Friday admin. Made a tub of hummus that used my last tin of chickpeas. All in all, a satisfying day. My NDN has gone on holiday to warmer climes and one of her sons is house and dog sitting for her, much to my relief. I was worried she was going to ask me to look after her dog; I do like dogs and it's a big softie but is approaching the size of a Shetland pony - far too big for little old me!
Today I have some bedding to wash but I doubt it will be hung outside to dry if the forecast is correct. Some baking could be on the cards too since the cake tin is empty 😕. Tea tonight will be cod fishcake with a parsley sauce middle, baby potatoes, peas and carrots. More yogurt & fruit for afters.
Oh dear, the rain has arrived - actually it's hailstones. I told you it was cold out there! 😮 On that note, I'll wish everyone a good day. Take care.
@dp1 - Special hugs for you, you're going through the mill right now. X
@remmie - Best wishes for a speedy recovery so you can get your cataract surgery done and dusted at the end of the week.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9
