Morning again. Bright and chilly here. Yesterday I had to bring my towels in after two showers and more grey skies. Of course, after I did that there wasn't any more rain, typical.
My day was busy though I didn't go out at all. Piles of paperwork got scanned, saved onto laptop and then the bits all burned. Packing took up time - I've got two events with some days in between so more clothes / shoes than I realised. The forecast for Glasgow today is for thunderstorms so even a rain coat is in the car.
The event today is the celebration for my beloved DM's devoted friend, Lionel. I won't know anyone else, apart from his niece and even then barely. Tomorrow I'm staying over with Alan then heading down to Darlington via Newcastle on Friday. On Saturday is the 25th wedding anniversary of my dear friends, again, rain is forecast so, despite their garden being party ready, it may well happen inside the house.
I'm off… hope that everyone has a great rest of the week. I'll miss the news of foster babies, ageing parents, gardening, horsing, walks with clients, travels in vans and the joys of everyday life. Take care all.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope the celebrations go well and you have safe travels.
It's been raining overnight but the sun is shining at the moment - will it last? Still quite chilly.
Nothing of note happened yesterday but I did leave work early to do some shopping near home so popped in to see the little one at her swimming lesson, it reminded me I haven't been swimming for ages so must sort that out but time is short with all the allotments and gardening.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Morning, thanks Gers.
It seems to be a fine start, yesterday we had some sudden sharp downpours, the sudden noise on the window gave me a fright.
I'm meeting a friend at Do*bies this morning, so I'm looking forward to that.
Hope all goes well today Gers.
Nothing else planned for today.
Hoping everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning folks, thanks GERS and safe travels. I hope your events go well.
Yesterday would have been lovely had it not been for that pesky Northerly wind blowing. It must have been too blustery for the family of baby rabbits that it's lovely to watch. We have light rain but less wind forecast for today.
Have a lovely day everyone and be safe x

Morning all
Overcast here and chilly again it feels more like autumn than spring, having said that I have a wash on the go and will try to hang it on the line for a while.
Dinner tonight will be salmon fried rice, I have some baby corn and asparagus that needs using so I will put that in as well, dd is out tonight so just OH and I to cook for.
I’m going round to mums this morning and will make her a lasagne which should do her two days at least at least we know she is having a hot meal that way.
Gers safe travels and I hope today is a good send off for Lionel and your other event goes well xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all from blustery Mehefinland
We must have had significant showers overnight - at least i won't need to water the new trees later.
been busy doing the usual stuff so mia for a while. On the interviewing panel for a new headteacher at the primary school-it's amazing how much time that is soaking up. We has a shortlisting meeting Monday, and 2 days of interviewing next week. What with everything else I feel like I need a holiday - fat chance but one can dream😉
My new lady friend wants a herb garden - all sorts of things have been popping through the door as a result- some I admit I had never heard of. Every day's a learning day they say. All I have to do now is find somewhere to put then!! have to have a good troll around the garden and find somewhere or something suitable.
Got to dask so hugs and spoons as always ,safe travels and well wishes for the poodles etc.
Mehefin aka Derek

Morning all, thanks Gers.Hope Lionel's celebration of life goes well, sounds like you have a busy few days planned, safe travels.
The torrential rain/hail woke me up , it was so hard the gutter overflowed, think it needs clearing.
Our visit to take Dfriends birthday card was pleasant, he enjoyed the humourous card, and she seemed much better this week.We had to call at the job where DS2 is working on the way, he needed DH opinion, but it was quite near friends house so no bother. It's a very old stone cottage ( bit like ours) and where he has ripped out some old stuff it's revealed some problems that haven't been allowed for. Think DH enjoyed advising!
A quick fish and chips when we got home. We watched the last episode of a spy drama, then onto the 2nd half of a football match.
Hope everyone's day goes well. Chicken shawarma tonight.

Morning everyone
It looks like there's been a lot of rain overnight here.
There was another 'incident' with mam and dad yesterday, I'm hoping to go in later to have a proper chat with the manager. My brother and I think they're spending too much time together and neither of them is coping. I'll have a chat with dad too, he can't cope with her there all the time but isn't being listened to. The speed at which mam is deteriorating is frightening.
Sorry - that brought the mood down. Gers I hope the service for Lionel goes well, he seems to have been such an excellent friend for your mam…and the anniversary party too.
I need to pop into town this morning, I bought mam a couple of dresses that are too small and need returned, I'll order the next size up. I have a lady phoning later to do a financial assessment for mam and dad, I have everything ready she asked for so hopefully it won't take too long.
Hope everyone has a good day x
