BT Call Guardian
I have a trio of BT phones with Call Guardian which I like, but one is broken so was looking at replacing them, however the new phones don't seem to have it, just a 'call blocker' do you have to individually block each number you don't want?
That's a bit of a faf as with Call Guardian if they are not in your 'phone book list' they need to say their name and press the hash key before my phone will ring then I choose to accept the call, this way no automated call can get through as they can't physically press the hash key, but as I understand it digital phone are not compatible with Call Guardian…….

What phones do you have now? Are you using BT as your provider, using Digital Voice (does your phone plug into your router or into a Master Socket?
I ask because there are various options that should work but they depend on your voice service having certain facilities available.

My BT DECT phone has the call blocker button but it also has TrueCall if enabled which is effectively the same thing, there's a plethora of options in the menu system.

We are with Sky and have just got Fiber 100 so now if we lose internet we lose the phone, (but I have a mobile for emergencies) so the phone plugs into the router.

Thank you, do you have to pay a subscription to TrueCall?

Looks to me that Sky Talk does support Caller Id, which is the feature that all of the call screening/blocking services rely on. Are you able to verify that Call Guardian (which is a facility of the phone handset not the network) still functions with your old BT phone(s)?
Sky Talk have their own service
which is no doubt very similar to the BT offering.

No, it's just built in, the same (I think) as your Call Guardian. I just use the block button TBH and have never activated the other stuff. Can't recall the last time I needed to block anyone on the house phone due to lack of calls on it (I only keep it for the wife as she can't deal with mobiles), my mobile generally blocks known spam all by itself.

We have only just gone over to fibre, but it was always ok before so I'm guessing it will be, not had any calls not in my phone book since changing.

Test with your mobile? Maybe taking number out of phone book (if it's there).
