How to 'bum-dial' an iPhone?
When a bum wasn't even involved.
Sil's iPhone (not sure which model, but a recentish purchase) has made a number of unsolicited calls to folk in her contacts page whilst it was in her handbag.
She was talking openly at the time which may have triggered it, but still.
How to disable?
Ta.

Set Require Passcode to Instant and set Auto-Lock to as short a period as you can get away with, 30 seconds is too short for most if you read long screens of text etc. You could also turn off the Rise to Wake but the first should stop it anyway.
To go further you can also long press the Phone app and set it to require FaceID to open
Most likely she's not turning the screen off or she doesnt have Require Passcode set to instant and bumping in the bag is causing it to turn on
