Faulty Fridge bought through kitchen company
My fridge was bought part of a fitted kitchen puchase in Sep '24
The fridge was bought directly by the Kitchen Supplier from AO and delivered directly to me.
Now, suddenly the fridge is not working (no light, no power but the electrics are fine to the fridge's supply cable)
AO are telling me that this is a business purchase and my understanding is that the 1979 SoG Act is the one that applies.
If it were me directly then I would go to AO - what are my rights here?

Sounds like you bought it from the kitchen supplier rather than AO, in which case you need to pursue any consumer rights claim via the kitchen supplier, as they're ultimately the retailer who sold it to you?

I believe your consumer rights lie with the kitchen supplier. They sold you the fridge.
They may accept that less than two years is unacceptable and simply arrange a replacement (perhaps more convenient and cheaper for them than repairing. They may offer a partial refund. They might ask you to have it inspected to confirm the fault and that it wasn't caused by misuse/abuse. Presumably they fitted it, so if there's any suggestion that it wasn't fitted correctly, e.g. insufficient clearance for cooling, then they're on the hook for that.

Where does one find an independent inspector?
Is that my responsibility?

A fridge repair person - you may be able to find one via the website of the manufacturer, or google "domestic appliance repairs" for your local area. They should be able to identify what's wrong and give a quote for repair which you can then pass on to the retailer. They'll probably charge for the inspection, but you can claim that cost back too.
But wait to see what the kitchen company say - whilst they could ask for an inspection, they might not. (other than snapping off the door handle, there isn't much the user can do to a fridge!)

@tetrarch - Just to add that AO are correct that their sale to the kitchen fitting company was a business transaction covered by Sale of Goods Act and is nothing to do with you.
You actually bought the fridge from the kitchen fitter so that purchase by you is protected by the provisions of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If I were you I'd just complain to the kitchen fitting company that the new fridge you bought from them just 20 months ago has already stopped working and that you want to exercise your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to have the fridge replaced or repaired as it obviously is not of "satisfactory quality" as covered by the legislation.
See what their response to that is.
If not to your satisfaction come back here
