Afternoon everyone - I started a post this morning that then promptly disappeared into the ether for some unknown reason. Never mind, it wasn't a particularly interesting one so you're not missing anything! 😁 I eventually found it in the Drafts bit but it wouldn't let me edit or continue, trying the usual turn off/turn on thing didn't do anything either so I gave up but all seems to be OK now.
This morning's sunshine has disappeared and, whilst dry, it's jolly chilly. @Izzie - I'm still putting my heating on for early morning ablutions and have gone back to long sleeved jumpers too. Not quite got to the point of needing gloves, scarf etc again - yet! 🙄
I've been to the shop for some milk and picked up a YS (half price) net of easy peelers while I was there but shouldn't need anything else this week. I have to pick up some meds as well but that's in a different direction so will do that tomorrow afternoon when it
shouldwill hopefully be a bit milder. Yesterday was a very lazy and enjoyable day although I did manage to stir my stumps to make a batch of SC chilli, one portion for later in the week and two for the freezer. Easy tea tonight of chicken kyiv, side salad and oven chips followed by yogurt & fruit.@Ruby and @dp1 - I'm so sorry to hear about your parents' health problems; it's hard not to worry so extra hugs for you both.
@Suffolksue - My birthday's just after yours (same age) and, like you, I'm finding things take far more effort these days. In my head I'm not old but my body likes to remind me otherwise!
On that cheerful note, I'll wish everyone a good day (what's left of it) and hope all is well in your world. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
@Suffolksue and @YorksLass - I am just a year or so older (will be 79 in August) and I am in awe of several of my friends in their late 80's who are able to get around and do so much more than I can. The treasurer of my Friends of the Library group just turned 88. We usually have her go to the events where there will be pictures taken because she always dresses so well. She can do so much more than anyone else in the Friends group, we are all amazed.
