Morning All
Thanks Gers, same here but still a bit chilly.
Busy day yesterday at the allotment, did some weeding for the community garden then finished putting together the raised beds that I'm quite happy with. I need to level the ground before they get their final home and hoping there's a delivery of compost or I'll have to buy a lot of bags.
Once home I pottered in the garden then made jam with neighbour's rhubarb (added orange so I don't taste the rhubarb!). Felt like I actually achieved something yesterday and the weather was good so all the washing was dry too.
Back to work today for a rest. It's Eco week so lots of litter picking and planting.
Bet Ldog would have won best in show Rosy!
Hope you've got rid of the mould Ruby, could just be an air flow problem.
Sorry your DMum still hasn't settled dp1.
Must dash, take care. XX

Morning all and thanks for starting us off today @Gers x
A productive day for you yesterday @camelot1001 x
I went to yoga - cover teacher and boy did she put us through our paces! Cleaned the bathrooms, kitchen floor, cleared the ironing and planted out some plants when I got home. Then had a lovely bath and caught up on some TV. Rubbish nights sleep unfortunately.
Lovely bright morning and I’m off to work. DH is due back around 11pm so just the three of us for tea. I’ve bought a RM salmon en croute which we’ll have with mash and veg.
Have a lovely time at the van @TravellingAbuela xHugs to all our poorlies or worried

Morning folks greetings from Nidderdale. All alone down here by the big field, just as I like it.
Yesterday was lovely, warm and sunny. I even sat outside with my lunch. Sadly today the temperature has dropped and we. will be heading back to single figures.
Have a good day folks if you can. Take care and be safe x

Morning all
Lovely bright day here the first load is in the wm and another to go in after they can both be hung out today, I am off to mums this morning she has a GP appointment so I will take her to that and then cook her a dinner, while I am still off work i am going to split my one long day up and go for two hours over three days, she is really not coping and not cooking for herself and then her diabetes is not under control, and she is not taking her meds correctly, she is needing more and more help, my sister will help with the other days.
Dinner tonight will be the rest of the lamb from yesterday with some mash and veg, dd is off today so she will do some potatoes later.
I have the painter popping in later as I noticed he had not filled a couple of places in the toilet, I think he was rushed towards the end and just painted over them, I filled them yesterday so he is going to pop in and paint them, it saves me buying a whole tin of paint.
The dresser is back in place and all clean for now but I will keep an eye on it, it is an airflow problem and drying washing indoors will not be helping, so this winter we will try and dry outside as much as possible and we will have to use the TD more, it’s expensive but I can’t be having the mould all over 😩
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all. I've been doing more overdue faffing. The bedroom drawers, which had been fixed more than two weeks ago, were still empty with all my stuff piled on the wee sofa in the spare room. So…I've waded through it all, sorted into keep, don't keep and maybe keep and now in their proper place. All of the don't keep ones are size 20 and 18, I'm now a 16 so off they go. The keep pile does include a small number of winter woolly larger ones to make layers. 😀
My planned 'joy' for today is taking away the black rubbish bag and handing over two lots of clean bedding to the dry-cleaners for ironing. I also need to finally decide on what to wear / pack for the two social events I am going to this week. One Wednesday the celebration for Lionel and Saturday a 25th wedding anniversary do for my dearest friends. I'm definitely dithering, had almost decided about Saturday until the warning of a new blast of Arctic air arriving threw me into a tizz. It's not a formal event so that makes it easier.
Sorry about your DM's failing health @RedRuby1231, not easy to deal with.
I hope that families and friends are doing well, as we age the problems become more serious and worrying. There's no consolation in understanding that we may well be the same. Hugs to all.

it’s really cold here this morning and I had the heating on for an hour
I know about aging ,I will be 77 nect month and since Christmas I feel so much older ,everything is such an effort now. Then I look at friends in their eighties ,who seem so much younger than me !
Must do some housework this morning then get myself to Scrabble this afternoon
Stay safe all

Morning everyone
The sun is shining here though it's forecast to be cooler. I managed 2 sessions in the garden yesterday, before and after going down to the care home. I put up some willow trellising along a fence, it looks really nice, just need some more climbing plants but that can wait until next weekend.
Dad looked really well yesterday though he's worried about mam and doesn't understand how she is now, he just wants her 'back to normal' and thinks I should be able to stop her being so upset. She is struggling so much and often just doesn't know where she is, she burst into tears a few times while I was there. It's frightening how she has got worse so quickly.
Anyways, back to today I have ironing to do, paperwork to sort as I have a meeting on Wednesday afternoon to do mam and dads' financial assessments and the Salvation Army to ring to arrange a collection of furniture etc from their house. Then work at lunch time.
The assessor wants to know what their funeral plans cost…are they included as capital?
Must move, hope everyone has a good day x

Back into wintery gear this morning. Temperature quite low and that wind is so chilly. Nearly got blown away hanging some washing out just now!
Morning has just flown by. Been on the phone for just under 2 hours to my ex-colleague. We used to manage to discuss things during an 8 hour work day now we condense it into long phone calls 😁
Sorry to hear about your parents @RedRuby1231 and @dp1 such a worry x
Have a good day all x

Hi everyone,
Ruby, have you thought about getting a dehumidifier, they are much cheaper to run than a tumble drier. I donated ours to Laura because the air source heat pump keeps the house at a constant temperature so it doesn't get damp. I'm sorry your mum isn't coping, you too dp1.
It's raining this morning and although it's a shame to lose the warm temperatures the ground really needs the rain.
I'm feeling a bit better after 3 days of enforced rest, I think I'd just completely exhausted myself. The fitbit app kept telling me I was doing too much, I don't know how it knew. I'm still going to take things slowly because we have Nate on Thursday so I want to have enough energy for him. Crystal has been given a date for her section - 29th June, the day after Chris' birthday. She's hoping not to need one, it depends if the baby is breech like Nate. She's been told to expect it.
We're going to see Nick Mohamed in MK tonight, hopefully he'll be funny, I really like what I see of him, he seems such a genuine person.
Have a good day.

morning everyone just it’s like winter here absolutely freezing I’ve had scarf gloves and big coat on today when I went to meet my friend I’ve got a small gammon joint in the slow cooker we will get a few days of sandwiches out of it and I will do some new potatoes with it tonight I have made some peas pudding. My luggage tickets have just arrived 12 days to go I might pack today although I said that at the weekend and never got round to it but this weekend I need to put a colour on my hair no excuses. I sorry to hear about those that are having worries with there parents it’s so hard and I hope you can get help and they are more settled. Dog needs a little walk and I won’t be out again today I just wish I didn’t have to put the heating on I thought we would have been saving some money on this by now but I’m not sitting freezing I’ve worked to hard all my life to be shivering now well that’s my excuse. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing
