Good morning Scarlet, thanks for starting us.
Dry out but noticeably cooler, tonight is forecast to be much colder. Yesterday I did some more washing and rearranged some of the kitchen worktops as I wasn't happy with the way I arranged them last time. Always an excuse to have a good clean. Had the windows open until early afternoon when the sun went in and a breeze picked up.
Nothing planned for today at present, but can always find something to do. Roast lamb for dinner, with roasties and veg.
@newroadahead So sorry for the loss of your DDs cat, it's heartbreaking when we lose our pets, they are part of the family. Hugs x
@TravellingAbuela Enjoy your break away, whatever the weather it's a change.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
I’m off to yoga this morning then need to get some plants in the ground - depends on the weather - looks to be windy but dry. Dinner will be a quick and simple carbonara as only me and DD here later.
We have squirrels demolishing our bird food. An entire peanut feeder has disappeared from its hook so I bought another yesterday. They are a menace!
Have a good day all

Morning again, it's sunny here, I might put some washing out.
Sorry about your daughter's cat NRA, it's so painful when you lose a pet.
We don't see squirrels round here Coxy, but I know from other people that they are a pest.
Enjoy your time away TA.
Have a good day if you can everyone, take care.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
It was very misty here earlier but the sun has burnt through and it's glorious but a bit cold. There was some rain on and off yesterday but I managed to get to the allotment and put the twine on the pea supports. Had to water the beds too as everything was quite dry.
Allotment 2 today to put in some raised beds, the soil is so poor (thick clay you could make pots from) so have decided to put in raised beds. Part put them together yesterday, will finish them when I get there as they are too big to go in the car fully made up.
Car hoovered out too, those bark chippings got everywhere!
Have a good break TA.
So sorry to hear your DD lost her cat NRA.
I stopped feeding the birds when I had rats in the garden but a little robin was at the back door yesterday so I gave him some meal worms.
Bathrooms have been cleaned, the bedding is on the line and will do the towels once I've been in the shower.
Have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX

Radio 6 music is having 'slow Sunday' so an equally lazy start for me, though I have been busy upstairs, in a leisurely way! Bedding changed and the washing machine chugging away. As I sleep alone these days I've put on the new single duvet (so much easier) and the new covers / pillowcases. No need to keep them for good.
Pharmacy appointment was fine though she didn't have my meds in stock, she ordered them and they are now in the vending machine.
The sky is glorious outside, bright sunshine, clear blue, no clouds though only 6 degrees - it may warm up. I'll hang the washing out before going to collect the meds.
Good to see you again @newroadahead, you've been missed, but so sorry about your DD's cat. I still remember my cat and her antics after nearly 60 years, they never leave your heart.
Have a lovely time at the caravan @TravellingAbuela.
Got my eggs and coffee, fuel for the day. I hope that everyone can have a good day despite aches, pains, woes, family and foes. Hugs to all

It’s grey and overcast here with rain due 😩 what a change from yesterday which was glorious, it’s actually quite cold this morning.
I didn’t get round to cleaning the bird table yesterday so that’s on the cards for today unless it rains, I had noticed some black spots ( I thought it just needed a clean) behind the second dresser so we pulled it out to find the whole bottom half of the wall covered in mould 😳 so I cleaned it all up and got some paint with an anti mould additive and I painted it in the afternoon, it looks much better now a couple of bits need a second coat so I will do that this morning and then put the dresser back.
I got a leg of lamb out of the freezer yesterday so that’s for dinner today I’m not sure if we will have a roast or new potatoes and veg will see what we fancy later, I will do mum a dinner too.
NRA so sorry to hear about your DD’s cat xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all. Sunny but chilly here.
DD and family are coming over later and staying for lunch so I made a big veggie lasagne yesterday and DH made garlic bread. We now need to pop out for more milk as the cheese sauce took most of it! They were at Badminton yesterday to watch the cross country so look forward to hearing all about it.
Unfortunately my back is suffering today so I've taken some anti inflammatories and hope it settles down. Did lots of washing as well yesterday, as it was such a good day to get everything dried outside.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Cloudy, cooler and very windy here. Just put some bedding on the line so keeping an eye on it but did but extra pegs on just in case!
Spaghetti bolognese for dinner and not much else afterwards here
@Coxy11 had the same experience over the years with squirrels. Managed to find a squirrel proof bird feeder and that solved it but still see them hanging off it sometimes grrrrr
Have a good day all x

Morning everyone
We had rain most of yesterday, forecast sunshine all day today - I have washing out. I'm hoping to start some tidying in the garden this morning, I'll put a big pan of bolognese on to cook first, I have none in the freezer.
I had a lovely afternoon yesterday sitting on my bed with a pile of travel supplements I hadn't had time to read. In the morning by brother and I spent more than 3 hours at mam and dads house, helped by 9 year old great nephew who was in charge of post it notes and making a list of everything we want the Salvation Army to take away. We now have all the cupboards and drawers emptied and all the rooms looking tidy, ready for the estate agent going on Tuesday. Only the kitchen cupboards still to do, most of those things will go to the Salvation Army too.
Last night i started watching The Testaments which was really good, is anyone else watching it? I had to put the Disney channel on my TV for it, but thanks to Martin I got a good deal.
I'll go down to the care home this afternoon, I had a very upsetting phone call from mam yesterday, she is still very unsettled and a lot of the time just doesn't know where she is or why. She's making dad unsettled and very anxious as she keeps saying she's going home.
Snoozer, I've worked in a nursery for 20 odd years, parents almost never tell us their child has had Calpol, though the children sometimes do !
Right, I'd best get moving, hope everyone has a good day and you have a lovely week at the caravan TA x
