This is a strawberry plant which has produced these

The variety is Pegasus. Planted last year and fine. It does have a lot of tiny white fly infestation sort of thing.

it’s called fasciation it can occur in many plants I had it on a raspberry plant a while ago

    From Google:

Fasciation in strawberries is a natural, non-harmful mutation causing flattened, widened, and sometimes fan-shaped or "cockscomb" berry . Damage may have been the cold weather we've had, touch of frost perhaps?

It's been 27c in the back and low of 5c.

They are rather creepy looking. I have heard of strawberries growing their seeds outside of the fruit but can't remember where.

Back to the books then 😉

Any damage causing the fasciation would have occurred a long time ago, when the cells producing these parts of these parts of the plant were first developing/dividing…
