Good morning all.

I'm breakfasted and almost ready for the off. My appointment in Glasgow is for 10.00a.m. then I'll do a toddle round a couple of shops.

The drive up to the clematis nursery was so lovely, despite the dire weather forecast the sun came out and shone, no rain at all though the wind was nippy. I got one clematis then my friend and I had coffee and cake in the fairly new cafe attached to the nursery. Very satisfactory.

Morning All

Thanks for the start Gers, hope your appt goes well and you have a smooth journey.

Busy day at work, shopping for school then collecting some wood chippings that were free for the outdoor area the children use, I was glad to get home!

Friday again but it's been raining overnight and looks like there's more to come, the garden does need it but not too much please!

I had a very late night/early morning and have a niggling headache. Need to take DD to the station for 10:30am. Hoping BIL will finish today apart from the toilet. He needs to redo the Velux flashing and needs space to work.

I have an invite for dinner back in our old town. In two minds whether to go. It’s with a good group of friends but obvs it’s an hours drive each way on my own. Will decide later.

Good morning, safe journey Gers.

Cloudy but dry outside, pretty much the same as yesterday. Much laundry done and dried, my appointment with the eye clinic is next week, so it's sanitise the house time. If it doesn't move it gets washed.

Probably fish tonight, either the cod I got half price, or salmon, both in the freezer.

Nothing else to report, so I'll wish everyone a good day, take care.

It's fine here, yesterday was ok but the wind was freezing.

There's the usual jobs to do today, and I'm seeing a friend later.

Morning folks. Thanks GERS and I hope you have a safe and scenic drive to Glasgow.

It's currently bright and mild but the forecast is for rain, with thunderstorms to look forward to at tea time. Maybe they will be wrong as they keep forecasting rain and we keep avoiding it.

I have the excitement of the Friday Tidy this morning, a dust and vac upstairs and down. Then it gets even more exciting this afternoon! I know how to live it up! I have a grocery delivery which is a rare event since I started going shopping with DS at the w/e but he is working tomorrow and there's stuff I want for my caravan jaunt on Sunday, plus stuff to come back to. An e-mail tells me nothing oos and nothing subbed. So all is as well as it can be in my world. Once I get the delivery of minced steak I want to make a pan of chilli as I like to keep a supply of portions in the freezer for something quick.

morning everyone safe journey to Glasgow Gers. I’m off out in a minute I’m not looking forward to the food waste as we are so short of volunteers and there’s a few on holiday but those of us that turn up can only do what we can do I will be pleased to get to the charity shop for a sit down. We seem to have a few missing on here as well I hope everyone is alright but just busy with other things . It’s nice and bright outside but that wind is still nippy . Shepherds pie just to heat through when I get back tonight nice and easy. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning everyone

I had little one and little foster baby for a couple of hours after work yesterday, little one played on her bike for a short while then we sat and played games next to a very wriggly baby. He's rolling onto his front now and squeals with excitement when he manages it. It was such a pleasure to see how happy he was yesterday, he has the loveliest smile.

Little one will be back after school for a sleepover, just till the morning as I'm going to help my brother do some sorting at mam and dads house then I'm planning on a lazy afternoon.

I'll go down to see mam and dad this morning before work. Right must get moving, hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all

It’s been raining overnight and it’s overcast now but some sun due later on. I have my nails this morning and then a H&S meeting this afternoon hopefully the meeting won’t go on too long.

The potential new family yesterday were really lovely but I did feel they got me there under false pretences, they advertised that they needed 3 hours a day for 3 days but when I got there the mum told me there was no work 🙄 but that they are away in June and need help for that and could I do anything, I said potentially but I am looking for a permanent role so if anything comes up I will obviously take that, she showed me the sons bedroom where the PA is expected to sleep and there was only one single bed, I asked where I would sleep and she said on a put you up bed next to her son, I am not at all comfortable with that idea and I’m not sure it’s even legal, as I said nice family but not for me I don’t think.

Dinner tonight will be a chicken and chorizo tray bake with new potatoes, I will get it ready this morning and just pop it in the oven later.

A bit sunnier and warmer temperature than yesterday here.

Just back from shopping. Lots of people out this morning, it must be pay day!

Nothing planned for today except spraying the roses as greenfly seem to be regular visitors. Must water the garden too as it's looking very dry and we're not expecting any rain for a few days at least.
