Post April 2027, can people over 65 still transfer from a shares isa to a cash isa?
AI suggest they can …
Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

You need to edit your title, you're 30 years out.

Post April 1997??!!
Think you mean 2027 :-)
Not sure the new rules have been released in any detail yet but I hope your AI source is correct when the time comes.

You don't need to worry about hurting AI's feelings. Go back to it and say you don't believe it and you want it to present you with reliable sources or proof

At least one of its sources was something called MoneySavingExpert. Reliable?😉

I cant find anything on tne MSE link in that AI.

I didn't know if the detailed regulations have been published yet, but the government announced at the time the rule changes were announced that the ban on S&S to cash IS A transfers, like the other restrictions, would only apply to those under 65.

No. It's an internet forum. It's unreliable almost by definition. Doesn't mean it's always wrong, but it's not a source of facts. If you ask AI to give you proof, I doubt it will direct you to MSE

Spot on, at the moment. Personally, I can't see the new ISA rules outlined last November changing for those over 65, only for those under.

It depends exactly what it links to - the main MSE editorial articles will have been carefully reviewed (albeit can't be guaranteed to be 100% infallible) but obviously the forum is a different story!
To the best of my knowledge, the government tax newsletter linked above was the last authoritative statement on the matter (and answers OP's questin), but there's inevitably been plenty of speculation since then…

I think it is nicely covered at the bottom of every page. 🤷♀️
