Octopus gas tariff

Octopus have a pretty great price camp predictions page on their website.

~£180 annual increase for the average household come the July price cap.
Their Standard Variable Tariff may be cheaper now but expect a price hike in July.1 -
I had been on Tracker for both gas & electricity up until mid January. Managed to snag the November fixed during the 48 day window before the end of Tracker. Did quite well out of it as prices were forecast to rise. Thanks to the current crisis in the Gulf region, prices are going to climb even higher. Fortunately, for most, energy consumption drops during the summer months before increasing late autumn.
With a ~10% increase predicted by Octopus in July, it may well pay to fix now - If there is a significant drop early next year, you should be able to swap tariffs without incurring any exit fees.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Octopus current fixed tariffs have £50 per fuel exit fees which would be charged for any subsequent change of tariff.
