This is a Santander thing, as Cahoot (being part of Santander) just uses a slightly different branded version of the Santander online system. I agree with you that they should label the rate gross, or display both. I get around this issue by opting for annual interest 😛

The Cahoot Simple Saver is a great account for funds which you might need to access quickly. It offers unlimited and genuinely instant transfers to your nominated current account. The interest rate at 4.17% AER is competitive.
You would be shooting yourself in the foot by cancelling the account over this issue.

absolutely this - also worth adding that you get 2 months notice on rate changes… I doubt any alternatives would offer this.
