Closing old Coop Smart Savers
My Coop RS matured today and rather than paying the money into my existing Smart Saver (with a zero balance) they created a new one. I guess it's the same account number just a different name and rate.
Anyway I've moved the money away, and requested a new RS, but can't figure out how to close the 2 redundant Smart Savers...
Any clues?

I took pen to paper & wrote them a note, sent it 2nd class, account closed very quickly.

I sent them a secure message in online banking asking them to close it stating that I'd downloaded the statements, reduced the balance to nil and wanted to close the account. It was closed within a few days.
Note if you don't explicitly say you've downloaded the statements they send you a reply asking if you've done this before they'll close in my experience.
