UC don't do any form of part payment, as above it has to be a full Assessment Period after the increase.

You're on the same assessment dates as me - money goes into the bank account on the 11th?

If so you won't see the rise until June

Does this not mean we lose a months rise due to assessment period being a day early on 5th

No as you still get 12 payments at the higher rate so a full year, you just have to wait a bit longer for them to start.

My own AP is 26th-25th so my increased payment starts June 2nd.

Although most people will always get 12 payments at a particular rate each year, that won't always be the case.

Anyone with an AP starting between the 6th and the 11th will often have either 11 or 13 payments at any particular rate.

The timing does feel frustrating when your assessment period starts just before the rates kick in. Worth noting that this same issue happens every year with the April uprating - some people get it straight away while others wait nearly a full month depending on their assessment dates. At least you'll know exactly when to expect it next year if your dates stay the same.

Any money due to UC after a change is taken from the beginning of the assessment period in which it happens. I've had this several times.

Any money due to the claimant(s) after a change is given from the next assessment period, like with rate increase.

Same as road tax where, after a change, the new keeper has to buy it from the beginning of the month but the old keeper pays until the end of the month. A month's money from both.
