Large-ish transactions in Gilts / ILGs

On ii, from memory, selling fractions of a gilt is possible on web but not on app (or the other way round). Try both.

It's an irritating quirk of SWSD/IWeb that it won't let you sell tenths and hundredths of a unit of gilts on the website. If you delete these after the screen has pre-populated leaving only whole units then the "continue" button miraculously colours and you can click on it to get to the next screen.

Yes, I can't see anyway to do this on app or on web. There's no way to buy fractions either so can't game the system that way. I guess it has to be done via phone.

If you do sell fractions of a gilt by phone with SWSD/IWeb , or anyone else has, it would be interesting to know that you're able to do so, and that the £5 standard online dealing charge still applied.

I can't see any information anywhere that says there's a higher charge if you have to phone them.

I just tried this. I could not enter the fractional gilt on app or website. I expect you could sell it by phone and they are usually good at only charging the online dealing fee when there is a quirk in their systems.

Last time I sold, the fractions were sold along with the last full unit.
