Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet.
It didn't rain yesterday after all and was actually a bit brighter than forecast; Mr Weatherman says 'overcast' with temperatures just about getting into the low teens for today and rain once again (supposedly) appearing early afternoon. It's more likely to happen as I'll be at the hairdressers at that time! It's just for a tidy-up trim and I did think about postponing it for a couple of weeks since it doesn't look too bad - however, I know if I did that I'd be back to the 'dragged through a hedge' look. 😁 I'll take my new windproof brolly for a test run, just in case.
On my way home I'll pop into the shops for a couple of bits and bobs, do a bit or ironing and then settle down to try and make sense of a CT adjustment notice that's just come through the letterbox. Why do I get the feeling it's not likely to be to my advantage? 🤔
April seemed to be a very spendy month whereas May is going to have to be all about frugality. Last night's tea was chicken salad and tonight it's beef stir fry with noodles, both of which are very good at using up odds and ends. Who knows, by the end of the month the freezer could even be empty!
@Scarlet and @SS - I'm sorry to hear you're both struggling with hip pain, it's so debilitating. Hugs.
@AA - Enjoy your trip to N Wales and @TA - Likewise for your next 'van break - I hope the weather will be kind to you both.
@Ruby - 🤞 Your potential new clients will be suitable for you.
@Rosy - Good to hear your DH's new body parts held up well on yesterday's walk. My commiserations to your cousin's wife at the delay in getting the death certificate; I had the same issue when DH passed away so know just how stressful it is.
That's it for now so I'll wish everyone a good day; take care and stay safe. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
