Morning, I've just made coffee and sat down again.
Another early start for me, it's hip pain that's waking me, I'll have to do an e -consult and hope I get a follow up call today. I can't keep on like this, losing sleep, and taking painkillers all the time.
It's fine, and the birdsong is wonderful out there.
No plans except the aforementioned e-consult.
Hope everyone's ok and has good days, take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope you can get some answers from your e-consult.
It's dry here but overcast, I've no washing to do so don't mind if it rains, in fact if it did it would save me watering the garden later as it's very dry. If it's dry when I get home I hope to get the grass cut.
Had a really lovely day yesterday at Culross, what a beautiful place. The Palace was quite interesting but the garden was stunning, all terraced on a hill, could have stayed there all day in the sunshine. The downside was not being able to get into the pub for lunch so we went to another town nearby where most places were closed but managed to find a nice little cafe and had some Turkish flatbread.
Back to work today, it'll be a strange week as Thursday is an in-service day due to the elections.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the decent weather. Take care. XX

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons I’m sorry you’re having issues with your hip. Let’s hope the e-consult gets you some respite x
We had a lovely roast beef dinner yesterday and then enjoyed the final snooker session. This was stark comparison to our morning. After posting about cleaning the oven I heard DH get up and start banging around the lounge. Yet another pesky squirrel had decided to make our home his own and was running around with abandon. DH managed to coax it out of the window. Have told him (and BIL) to stop leaving the front/back doors wide open whilst working upstairs. Will see what happens today when BIL is here again.
Have a good day all.

I’ve been MIA again.
Off to N Wales for a few days - hopefully decent weather and some nice coastal views.
Still niggling worries about DMs health and will likely need a difficult conversation when I get back but she has her treatment this week so will see how that goes first.
Camelot - I went to Culross last month - such a pretty place. The Palace was closed but I walked all around the alleys behind it and agree the terracing and gardens are wonderful.
take care allAA

It’s a bit overcast here and meant to stay the same all day, I have two people coming today and we are going for a walk around a local park and then along the seafront for a picnic lunch, if there is time after we will have a mooch around the shops and a cup of tea.
I had an email yesterday from a lady looking for help with her mother general home help type of stuff and cooking lunch, so I am going to phone her this morning for some more information, she is in the same village which is handy. I also have the family on Thursday to meet.
Dinner tonight will be spag bol, it’s already cooked and was in the freezer so an easy dinner I will just have to cook some spaghetti later.
OH and co are going great guns at my mums but there is a lot of mess and dust apparently, all of the kitchen stuff is in the lounge, so I will try and get up when they have finished to clean and put things back.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all - it's bright outside though cold. And an icy wind is due tomorrow so I've put the blanket back on the bed. Thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. Culross delivered then, @camelot1001, glad you enjoyed it.
Yesterday I was more productive than anticipated. The rest of my week is filled up so I had hoped for a relaxing day but maybe I've had enough of those! I also remembered to book the Toronto hotel car to collect me from the airport. It's been on my list for too long.
This morning I've got an appointment for my annual blood pressure check. Weirdly I'm looking forward to it as I want to ask about reducing my meds. My BP has reduced dramatically as I lose the weight so it's perfect timing. On the way I have a print to hand in for framing. During the aftermath of the terrible fire in Glasgow which destroyed an historic and beautiful building a painter did a wonderful depiction of the firefighters working on the embers. He then decided to make a limited run of prints with proceeds going to charity so I ordered one which arrived last week. After it's framed I'm thinking about donating it to a charity raffle.
I've got some things for the CS and a pile of old clothes for the textile dump. That'll all keep me busy until early afternoon.
WB to our returnees. Sorry to read about various sore hips. Despite my ongoing problems with mine I can only recommend a hip replacement if you can get one. No medical advice, just common sense, no sore hip equals no pain. Fingers crossed for you both as I know the waiting lists are still horrendous.
Take care all, hope that you can enjoy your day. Have a great time in Wales @AlwaysAllie. Hugs all round. x

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. We currently have blue sky and sunshine but apparently the sun will go into hiding late morning. They might be wrong! It doesn't feel very warm though.
Now the snooker has finished I might get a few more jobs done as I have been doing far too much watching! I have already made a start. The bathroom cabinet which has been on the to do list for long enough had a good sort out and clean earlier. It looks much better. I have a few pairs of jeans chugging away in the wm in the hope it might soon be too warm for them. One can hope!
I have decided to have another week at the caravan from Sunday. The forecast doesn't look too clever but never mind, it will be a change of scene and lots of reading will get done!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take it easy and rest up if you can. Be safe xx

Good morning & thanks Scarlet - sorry you're in pain. Hope the econsult is useful. SSue sorry your hip is bad too.
Sounds like a lovely place to cisit Camelot, glad you enjoyed your visit.
Coxy, Ldog would be going frantic if a squirrel got in the house, his fave pastime when we're out is spotting them!
Still not heard about my cousin's funeral, his wife hasn't got the d.certificate yet due to a delay with the office admin. She can't do anything without that.
We had a really long walk yesterday up on the moors. DH's new knee and hip did really well.We were tired out when we got back! After that it was mainly watching football. I put all the ingredients and the salt/pepper chicken in the Remoska and then just did some chips for the menfolk.
RRuby, hope the new job is suitable.
Pork fillet on the menu tonight. We may go and visit our friends, not seen them for ages, mind you ,they never ring or visit us & makes us wonder why we bother sometimes, but they are generally pleased to see us when we do turn up.
Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all
Wind a little chilly but sun has just come out in dribs and drabs
Watched the last couple of hours of snooker last night, edge of the seat stuff. Had been watching the footie beforehand and kept an eye on the score. I've had an online friend for about 20 years who comes from Liverpool. We have met up a few times and, sadly, her DH died on Saturday. She is a Liverpool supporter and her DH was an Everton supporter so lots of online and messaging banter over the years when watching the games when my fav team Man Utd played either of their teams. Her DD put a pic up of a glass of beer in front of the tv while watching the match last night saying come on the Toffees <sniff>
Washing hung out and I've been planting out what we got at the garden centre yesterday.
Have a good day all x
