Uber $ gift card not showing in Uber wallet

I was gifted a Uber gift card for an upcoming trip to the US.

It is not showing on my account but says I have redeemed the voucher.

Will it show when I land in US?

I cannot find an email or telephone number to ask

I think “redeemed” means it has been used.

It means the coupon code has been applied

Uber is not "multi-currency", it only holds a credit balance in your "home" currency - it has no facility for converting a (say) USD gift card balance to GBP.

How was this gift card supplied? Did someone in the US 'gift' you credit direct to your UK Uber account?

Don't think you can gift a different currency to the one the Uber account is designated in.

No idea what's happened to that gifted amount.

You'll need to "talk" to Uber (a notoriously hard thing to do). If you sign in to your account and follow the help tree it should end up at a form where you can enter your particular problem - go big on detail (exactly how this gifted amount was sent to you etc).

Only you know if the amount involved is worth the considerable hassle of trying to deal with Uber's obtuse system.

Generally, there are very few situations when cash is bettered by a gift card.

You can only use gift cards in the country that they were purchased in.

Maybe it does mean that the gift card credit will appear when the app opens in the US?

If only you could just ring them up and ask…..
