What is this, these do you think
So I planted some salad seeds in my own homemade compost.
Should be Rocket and Spinach in a cut and come again form.
What has popped up is Spinach but maybe one rocket.
It looks to me like I have 16 tomato plants come up 🙄 quite possibly from my compost heap. The irony being that I've struggled to get them growing from seed in pots with all the right conditions.
Or is this rocket?
The one on the left I know is a 'wildflower'

If you taste one, you'll know! 😄
Chances are, they're tomatoes. I've just pulled out about 30 healthy-looking tom seedlings from the deep bed where I'm growing other things this year. They waited till conditions were just right, then came up like weeds, which they are, when growing late and not where we want them.
Never believe anything until it's officially denied.

None of it looks like I expected. 🤞

With apologies for very messy drawing, I think the circled ones are rocket - can't see anything that looks like spinach…
If I'm right, the next leaves to develop will be a bit more divided/wavy-edges, rocket-looking!

rocket will have the brassica style original leaves that then turn into rocket style leaves [ I only say style because there are different types, some have more serrated leaves, some have more rounded ones, some have ones like fat hen] I see plenty of rocket in there [ but I did have to enlarge it quite a bit :) ]
spinach starts off a bit like tomato leaves so don't panic yet :)

Not absolutely sure that any of these are tomatoes - but if they are, the plants are probably too small to do much this year.
If you want tomato plants, I would buy them from a garden centre.
