One of the nasty side effects of being a moneysaver, I was horrified in Sainsburys to see a woman spend £70 on 'Be good to yourself' meals. There was only enough for about a weeks worth of lunch and dinner. I'm surprised my tongue isn't covered in blood given that I was biting it so hard to avoid saying, "You're spending HOW MUCH on ready made food, ya' crazy fool".Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -

Same happened to me last night in Tesco! It pained me, it really did!
Today, I have/will:-
1. have written a shopping list and divided it into what we need today and what can wait until the end of the week when I do an online shop with Tesco using the £10 off voucher they kindly sent me.
2. Take down the xmas tree - thus avoiding spending time online shopping or going into town.
3. Contemplate batch cooking to supply HM ready meals for in the week
4. Flick through magazines for comps and enter as many as poss.
Right, off to Morrisons I go - with my £20 in vouchers from my parents ("to spend on xmas goodies".. just after I'd done an online shop with Tesco!).. :rolleyes:0 -
