The prize:
The winner and guest will stay for two nights in a Deluxe room at Douneside House, a 19th-century country-house hotel in the heart of Royal Deeside, not far from the Cairngorms. In richly planted gardens, with a health club, spa and fishing lochan, the hotel marries period features with a contemporary sense of comfort.
There are 13 bedrooms in the main house, alongside six luxury apartments and three holiday cottages on the estate, as well as two restaurants: the Library and the Conservatory.
The prize includes one three-AA-rosette tasting menu for two with wine pairing in the Library and one à la carte dinner for two in the Conservatory (excluding drinks). It must be taken between October 1, 2026, and April 1, 2027, subject to availability and excluding December 23 to January 3 and February 13 to 16.
