Morning SCARLET and all to follow. It's a gloomy start here, no rain but no sun either. We never got the rain promised for yesterday but a deluge is promised for tomorrow!
I'm up and at 'em early doors again as it's shopping day with DS and he likes to get to Sainsbobs in good time. I have quite a long list as I was still at the 'van last weekend so missed my shopping trip. . After no shop for two weeks I have an empty fridge, empty fruit bowl and the only veg left is two potatoes! Still plenty in the freezer so I'm still beavering away trying to get stocks down out there!
I managed to get a bit done in the back garden so it looks marginally better but still a way to go out there. It's hard work these days so it's little and often being the way to tackle it.
I ordered some compost yesterday and I've had a text telling me it will be delivered today. That's good service (if it happens!) Then I need to spur myself into action refilling a load of pots!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Glad you are on the mend RUBY and fingers crossed for the new job. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
Misty morning but looks like the sun will break through soon. According to the forecast we will get rain early this evening so that'll save me having to water the garden! Must clean the bird baths out though. There is a big crow that has been visiting over the last couple of days and he's been softening bread he's found in the bird bath and it's a right mess lol
Making chocolate cake today and settling down to a footie match over lunch to see if my old London team can make it to the Premiership today or the playoffs.
Have a good day all x

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Overcast and dull this morning, rain is due on and off all day. Must get to the allotment to plant out some veggies before it gets too bad. After that I'm going with DD and the little one to an Asian Hypermarket for a nosey about. If I get myself moving I'll do a bit of shopping at Aldi before, like you TA, there's distinct lack of fresh fruit and veg.
Busy day at work yesterday, came home and did nothing, it was lovely!
Glad your symptoms have abated Ruby but best to get it checked.
How are your bites Coxy?
Your DS is certainly seeing the country YL.
Hope you all have a good bank holiday weekend. Take care. XX

morning everyone I have been reading along but had a busy couple of days but my window was put back in on Thursday but of course it’s cricket again this weekend we have been to see the man who comes and repairs my roof every time they smash the tiles and he is going to come and have a look and see if he can rig some sort of net up for a bit more protection because they aren’t going to do anything apparently they can’t afford net the suggestion of doing some sort of fundraising for it was met by blank stares I won’t moan on anymore as you can guess I’m still fed up . I’m going to do some housework walk the little dog decide what we are having to eat when I have a look in the freezer and that’s about it it looks as if it’s going to be a nice day sun is shiybut we are forcast rain for later. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are dy

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
Looks to be a fine day here. I’m off back to our old town to have lunch with ex-neighbours. They are still to visit me…clearly it’s further to come here than me going there… I will be going to Sainsbury’s this afternoon too. DH has the unenviable task of cleaning the en-suite of dust, and mist coating the newly plastered ceiling. BIL will be back next week as nothing fitting yet apart from the shower tray. My bites have healed nicely @camelot1001 - I was a good girl and didn’t scratch them!!!
Glad your symptoms have abated @RedRuby1231 but do get it checked out. Fingers crossed for the new family xLovely new road @Gers - am I sceptical in thinking it’s because of impending voting opportunities that all the potholes are being fixed….
Have a good day everyone

Good morning, thanks for starting us Scarlet.
Another bright start with rain forecast later, although we didn't get the promised rain yesterday, so who knows.
A lazy day awaits, DH may start on the fence, you never know with him,or he may find something entirely different to do. I'm up to date with chores, well apart from the usual vacuuming up of dog hair. They say this breed of dog only sheds twice a year, lasting 6 months each time, and that is true.
@Chrisca50 Good luck to our old team, I won't be watching, far too stressful lol.
Burgers in brioche buns tonight, nice and easy.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. It's murky here, lots of low grey cloud, I've got the table light on already.
Yesterday started off murky, rained for about an hour before the sun appeared and shone for most of the rest of the day. I put off the grass man as the tracks here were still being resurfaced in what seemed like a random order. His nearest route in was closed first thing and who knows about the other two roads. I went up to the big town (the long way round), only really for Boots though took the opportunity for a quick whizz round Marks too.
When I drove home I avoided the closed road, went for the canal route only to find the bridge over the estuary / river was blocked by a council van - the road up was being done. I was rather angry as there wasn't any warning signs and the drive back was over three miles. There was another 'guard' at the other end of the closed road who stopped to talk to me so I had a little mild rant, he placated me though I don't think he cared that much just doing good customer service. Once again the postie couldn't get through so I expect loads today.
Upside was that the grass man was able to get through his usual route on his way home so my back garden was strimmed, cut and blown in quick time. He also prised open my TV remote control which I couldn't move, new batteries now in.
I inadvertently caught some snooker at teatime, got riveted at the stupidity of the mess the frame was in, and then got bored with the lack of any action! The players really were snookered.
No idea about today yet. Take care all, enjoy family, shopping, slothing, working, worrying or being chilled. I'll be doing at least two of those. Hugs to all, especially the poorlies or those getting better.

GERS I was riveted too with the stupidity of frame 14 That will surely go down in snooker history! DD who isn't a snooker fan and had only popped in to collect something was gripped by it and ended up staying till the outcome! Crazy!

Morning again - it seems to have rained overnight but it's sunny now.
I was.up early because of back pain, I have taken pain killers and it's not too bad at the moment.
We have our granddaughter staying but I'm not expecting to see her yet, it'll probably be about 11am before she appears.
I need a bit of grocery shopping, we'll go out later. I didn't get out yesterday so there's still bags to go to the cs, they can go this morning.
So that's my day, hope everyone else is all right and has a good day, take care folks.

Morning all
It’s a bit overcast here this morning and rain due this afternoon, I have washing on the line so will need to keep an eye on the weather and get it in quick if it starts.
We have another plumber here to quote us for the boiler the first quote from the other chap was eye watering, this chap is a friend so we are hoping it’s a bit cheaper.
DD is working a late / sleep tonight so just OH and I here for dinner so we are having a bit of steak each with chunky chips and roasted tomatoes, OH will cook tonight.
I’m going to nip to the shop and pick up some more bedding plants and try and get them in before the rain, if not they can wait till tomorrow as they have now said no rain.
Have good days all and take care xx
