Amex 3% deal - last year

Hi Guys,
I got the American Express 3% deal last ooooh......say November??
3% for 3 months, blah blah, usual deal after that, anyway. one year on, i rung em up to cance. yatter yatter, ultimately, they dont want to let me go - the entire point of this post is that the fella first offered me DOUBLE cashback for 3 months, which is fairly crap, amex do 0.5% up to 4k, 1% up to 10k, then 1.5% over 10k.
bargain, eh?
well another 'no, i got an Egg money that does 1% permanently' made the fella offer me 3% for 3 months as of (2 days ago).
bargain if you ask me.i should have pushed it, with the 4% cap one deal, see if i could get at least a match, or greater. ah well. 3% for 3 more months is well worth it. get your money saving butts on the phone!
