Give us the make/model of the camera, and what you are trying to do with it.

The Septekon app ? Many of these devices are only compatible with their own apps. Appears to be available for Windows PC as well, something very few do.

They're usually tied to their own app, the Septekon app in your case. ed to add I think it was Septekon that had more than one app with different cameras tied to different apps too - I had two that weren't cross compatible

The Amazon Blink cameras can work without a subscription, so long as you get the sync module and a USB stick for storage.

Personally though I find the app a bit slow and tend to use my ReoLink cameras (x3 of them) more than my Blink camera or Blink doorbell camera.

You need the separately available Sync2 module for non subscription storage as the new Sync Core module now supplied with devices does not have that capability - a bit of a con by Amazon to push you towards the subscription model.

    This camera?

Just be warned that it's quite likely to have the same problem (of not enough sunshine in the winter) as this solar-powered security light camera did, and for exactly the same reason.

I bought mine from Amazon, the brand is kamep, it uses the cloudot app. With a memory stick in it to record events you don’t need a subscription. It needs recharging about once every 2 months and comes with a ringer that is also rechargeable.
