Hi, not a newbie just new to the updated process since my last court appearance.

i understand the new MCOL setup and that i must adhere to strict dates etc,

Background on the claim. i parked at a mfg petrol service station (free parking for 30 mins) i overstayed this 30 mins, i thought the time limit was longer, it wasnt, there is sinage , i just didnt read it correctly which is my own fault ,its an anpr system and hadnt been in place in my visits prior.

i tried to contact mfg who ignored me.

i ignored all correspondence from euro as i didnt feel i had a valid defence, im happy to go all the way with this however my question lies around my defence response as i cant imagine i have a particulalrly strong one?

i understand how to respond and who i must send what to and when, i just need advice on what to respond regarding a defence.

Login to MCOL via your government gateway account next week and complete the AOS online stage

Use the 10 paragraph template defence in announcements, after studying a dozen recent similar cases to see what your paragraph 3 should be

Just use the Template Defence and say in para 3 that no parking signs were seen in the cluttered context of banners and adverts for various services at a petrol station and the Defendant was using it properly, as a genuine customer (car wash? Petrol? Air? And a bite to eat from the kiosk…whatever).

It will be discontinued later this year so don't bust a gut on it!

only caveat is i actually used the mcdonalds which is part of the same land and on which you get an hours parking also managed by euro so i dont have physical evicence of using said garage on the day in question. i understand it will likely be dropped anyway though….

Cannot quite read the date of issue so have provided two different deadlines

With an issue date of 29/04/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 04/05/26 and before or on 18/05/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 01/06/26

OR

With an issue date of 23/04/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 28/04/26 and before or on 12/05/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 26/05/26

Thanks, @Le_Kirk its the 29th, i have just completed AoS, and am now onto filing my defence. i have again contacted the landowner who have this time responded claiming its nothing to do with them and that they have no control over what euro do on their land, strange that.
