What would generate these soft searches?
This is off my Transunion free report accessed through MSE. I was surprised to see a number of soft searches today. I haven't looked online for anything to buy so not sure why these would show up. fyi - I don't bank with HSBC and have never used or needed Jaja or Lendable.
Meanwhile I've received an email from Experian to say an account has been added to my report a week back but no information is available about what this is. I could sign up for their "protect" service but don't know if the 30 day free trial will be a long enough period for me to find out what they are talking about. fyi - Transunion doesn't show anything about a new account.
Advice please!

Might not help but Jaja run the credit cards for Asda and Bank of Ireland UK (as well as in their own name).
Fat finger when using the Asda app?
Be good to know what that new account actually is, although it's often the case that it's an existing account with an institution that has shifted its credit reporting to Experian rather than a new (to you) account.

The soft searches arent anything to be materially concerned about; if you've ever used a comparison site they will on occasion rerun your prior searches before then sending you marketing materials saying what you may qualify for, for things like insurance its typically about a month before the theoretical renewal date (based on the quote you did); the aggregator themselves dont check CRAs for insurance but some of the sellers that they ask for quotes will do as part of their standard processes.
Personally would be more interested in the new account being reported and checking what that is about.

Experian app is meant to give you the credit report for free

do you mean having it on my phone? or is it like the website where it's only free for 30 days?
