Anyone been to theme parks during polling day?
I could never do theme parks on weekends or school holidays, it just seems a complete waste of a day standing in queues.
Has anyone been to a theme park like legoland on polling day. Was thinking it might be a good statergy to go there on polling day when kids school are closed for polling.

You want to go to a theme park when more kids are statistically going to be off school, to avoid standing in queues?
Am I missing your logic here? I mean its likely going to be quieter than a weekend but it will be busier than a usual Thursday.

We went on a Teacher 'training' day to Alton and as that was probably only our part of the country having one. Many kids where taken out of school to go I suspect as there was alot there. either way queues were max 1hr and near the end of the day we did the nemesis 3 times in a row.

Maybe mums and dads will take advantage of the school holiday to go to a theme park that day.0 -
It would be the last day to go to Legoland, the number of people actually wanting to stay close to home to vote would realistically be low. So kids off school, where should we take them?

its more than case that parents aren't able to get a day off on polling day, where as a lot of business cycles follow school holidays and parents are able to get their annual holidays during school holiday time.
In the events industry we find it a lot quieter during school holidays, exhibitions are gereally avoided as a lot of key decision makers are on annual leave.
I dont expect parents to take 1 day of annual leave on polling day0 -
Not all schools will close for polling day, so I imagine that there might be an uptick in people but it's still likely to be quieter than the weekend/school holidays.
Though I caveat that with I've never knowingly gone to a theme park on polling day

Legoland on polling day was a really good shout. We walked through thr gates at 12 (they open at 10) i was a bit annoyed thinking 4 hours in a theme park isnt long enough (it normally isnt). But we got onto many rides without issues. Most rides we went on just had 30min queues or less. I think we did 6 rides.
And we were just topped out from them and just didnt want to do any more.
Park was calm. And got the Cadbury discount which gets is £17 entry (50% off).
Just take your own packed luch because just 1 adults main is £15 there (5x goujon and fries).
Polling day is going to be our theme park day from now on.
I recall a friefriendn going on bank holiday and they were exhausted. Just about got on 3 rides and they were complaining its just so busy they dont have space to breathe in the park and they were in queue for 2 hrs on some rides

Work from home, or drop kids off to grandparents maybe?
The point is doing something with kids when the majority of people out there are not utilizing an unexpected break.
I think polling days are very under utilized, middle of the week - some people dont even know there's a local election on until some candidates come knocking on their door maybe 2-3 days before the election itself.0 -
You're dumb.
