Are some Open Banking services more reliable than others?
Following on from my earlier thread about payment checks and Open Banking, I’ve been trying to understand whether there’s much real-world difference between the various providers/services behind these systems.
A lot of them seem to offer similar features on paper, but I’m more interested in the practical side — things like reliability, support when connections fail, and whether business account data actually syncs properly consistently.
As a small business, time spent chasing failed connections or fixing missing transactions quickly becomes a cost issue as well.
For anyone using Open Banking tools/services regularly with UK business accounts, have you found some noticeably more dependable than others in day-to-day use, or are they all fairly similar once set up?

In my experience the differences only really show up once something breaks. Most work fine during setup, but support quality and how quickly failed connections get resolved varies quite a bit between providers. I’d also check how often customers need to reconnect accounts, because that tends to create the biggest admin burden over time.

That could be said but it depends more on what you are assessing. Is it onboarding time? Is it support? Is it the cost?
