Multiple G24 penalties

My son recently started a new job for which car parking was provided by his employer in a local car park. Unfortunately, my son misunderstood the location of the car park that he was given by his manager and parked in an adjacent car park which is operated by G24. 7 days later he received, by post, a penalty notice for £100. By this time he had parked in the same spot for 6 days and subsequently has received 5 further £100 notices. In recognition of his error he agreed to pay the first invoice at the reduced rate of £60 but has argued that further penalties should not apply due to the unreasonable time that it took for G24 to notify him of the problem i.e. if a ticket had been applied to his windscreen on day 1, or the notice had been sent with more urgency he would not have continued to park there. It was only the delays built into G24's procedures that has caused the build up of multiple 'fines'. In response G24 have issued what appears to be a standard letter rejecting this appeal.

My son cannot afford the associated risks of the matter proceeding to court. Can anyone please help with any precedence or other way forward?

He didn't get a penalty notice.

It was an invoice but I agree with his stance; it was reasonable to pay one at £60 and tell them to jog on.

There aren't any risks by following our advice.

If they try (which G24 rarely do) if this was in England or Wales, then it would be a simple small claim to defend. It's free to defend and we have a template defence, What are you envisaging? Court does not equal using a solicitor, high costs or getting a CCJ!

We defend these every day. Nobody risks anything.
