Joint trustee bank account
My parents both died with a short time period last year. There will has a trust in it.
I registered a trust based on the will with HRMC shortly after my dad died to make sure my mum and benficaries were covered.
Unfortunatly my mum died very shortly after the trust was set up last July.
I am in the process of selling their house as sole executor. My conveyancing lawyer as said i need to set up a joint trustee bank account so the second benificary can recieve their 50% share. The other 50% i inherit and they say that can paid into my executor account. The other benificary is to act as trustee for the sale of the house. I have ammended the HMRC with death of my mum and adding the second benificary as trustee
Me and 2nd trustee are planning to head to the local Metrobank tomorrow to open the account.
Has anyone any experiance in using Metrobank for this type of account?
Alsi techincally i dont need a registered trust, cause it is a will trust and within 2 years of both passing away. Cause i have registered the trust do you think this will cause issues?
Any advice greatly welcomed

It should not cause an issue, in effect the trust ended on the death of your second parent,so any old joint account should serve for the short time the money will spend in there.
