Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you enjoyed the show.
Overcast this morning but due to brighten up later. I've not enough washing for a load so that can wait until tomorrow. We had a couple of very small showers here yesterday afternoon but not really enough to wash the pavements.
Hope you're ok SSue.
Any news on the rest of your money Ruby? Hope your Mum is ok and your tummy recovering.
Hope the cricket club pay for your window Izzy.
Glad you had a good van stay TA
We have a young girl doing work experience at school, she spent the final hour of the day with me. She has Cerebral Palsy and a learning difficulty but seems quite capable, she loved the photocopier! We'll have to find her some jobs to do and have her answering the phone later this week.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off. No sun this morning for us but it is forecast to appear this afternoon at some point.
I am feeling rather sorry for myself this morning. I took a tumble coming up the front steps outside yesterday afternoon and ended up flat out face down. I just hope nobody was watching me trying to get back up. Both hands are bruised (must have put them out to try and save myself) and both knees are a mess. The right one worse than the left with the skin off and bleeding. I had a bad night and this morning I feel as though I have been kicked. I can't see much in the way of jobs getting done today.
Back to yesterday pre the fall and the dental appointment. Nothing imminent needs doing but she will assess in 6 months. She was foreign with a light coloured voice and I had trouble making out what she said but it was about something that may need root canal treatment. I shall have my fingers crossed in the meantime.
Have a good day if you can folks with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. I hope your DS got back safe and sound YL. It's a long drive in one day. SS a special hug for you, you sound very down in the dumps. Take care folks and be safe x

Morning all
TA - take it easy, jobs will wait, sounds like a nasty fall
Sunday I was shattered and barely coherent (not that I spoke with anyone) and head felt like lead. Better now though with some decent sleep. A brief session of invigilation yesterday and no more now for two weeks.
Have a slot at the charity drop off this morning then planning a local walk but in a new-to-me area - weather is vastly different today but sun due back tomorrow.
take care allAA

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Your work experience lady sounds fab @camelot1001 😊
Don’t blame you being annoyed about the cricket club @IzzyBee - I hope they paid for the window 🤞🏻
Sorry you’re upset @Suffolksue hope whatever it is can be worked through x
Good luck to your DS with his new job @YorksLass x
Glad you had a good week at the van @TravellingAbuela but sorry you took a tumble. Have a quiet day with your feet up x
My bites look terrible - big angry red bumps - must have about 10! Long dresses and trousers for me for the foreseeable future!
I’m meeting an old friend/work colleague today who I haven’t seen for probably 17 years! She’s been through a divorce since then so we have lots to catch up on. I’m also putting the finishing touches to my May postbox topper. It’s not so much the creating it as the engineering logistics to make sure it stays put!
Dinner is pork and apple burgers with slaw.
Any news from the court @RedRuby1231 Hope you got to speak with the NHS re: your tummy issues xNice to have a meet up planned @mehefin and good luck with extra horse-related duties!
Have a good day all

Morning all
Not quite so nice here today but better weather is back tomorrow.
Thank you for all the good wishes re my tummy, I am waiting for a call from the surgery today, I would not normally phone about an upset tummy but this has been going on for 10 days now 😳 I went over 20 times yesterday and just can’t keep anything in at all. I have taken today off as I don’t want to pass this onto anyone.
No news about the extra money yet, I have emailed the court so am waiting for a reply to that to see if it’s worth chasing or is it a big long process.
We still have the belly pork to eat as I couldn’t face either cooking or eating last night, OH had a ready meal, so I might do the pork tonight for OH and dd I don’t think I will have any so will find something else for me.
TA I am so sorry you had a tumble, have an easy day and take care of yourself xxx
SSue I’m sorry to hear you are feeling down xx
Coxy our Greek lady who we stay with told us to put a spoon in hot water ( as hot as you can bear) and then hold the spoon over the bites for as long as you can, it should take the itching and some swelling away, it did work for us xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, bit dull this morning, meant to improve.
Glad you enjoyed your stay TA, sorry about the fall.
Izzy sorry you're having probs with the cricket club.
Camelot, your work experience girl sounds lovely.
I'll use the leftover chicken for tea later, perhaps a pie with mushrooms.I have a delivery later.
Yesterday was spent on the phone a lot, my old neighbour telling me her disabled son has gone into hospital, & then a shock one from my cousin's wife saying he'd just passed away in hospital. He wasn't in the best of health but we'd already planned the date for our next cousins meet up in a couple of weeks, he said he could do with another male. My DB1 had already said he'd try and make it to even things up a bit. So sad.
Day off from school pickup today but not much planned, will go with the flow.Take care.

Good morning
A dull and chilly start, sun forecast for later. Yesterday evening brought thunderstorms from teatime until 9pm.
Well, surprise surprise we didn't go to the stores yesterday, I've given up asking now. Why my DH makes a big statement about going then can't be bothered beats me. I can only guess that the job the fence paint was for he doesn't fancy doing.
So, no plans for today, there's still some of the pie left over from last night so himself can have that and I'll probably have some chilli that's in the freezer.
@TravellingAbuela Hope you're not too sore today, it's so easily done.
@Suffolksue Sending hugs and hope the situation gets sorted out.
@RedRuby1231 Hope you got an appointment and soon feel better.
Sorry if I've missed others out, my memory is like a sieve.
Have a good day all, take care.

Good morning all from a breezy and dull Mehefinland! Where has the sun gone….again?!
Spent a fair chunk of yesterday potting on seedlings, sowing some pansy seeds and general mucking about in the garden. Also had more trees planted in the field- 2 field maple and 4 rowan - they are good size trees too - about 8- 10 ft. The lovely chap that planted them just got on with it and I played council workman - ie watched! I will have to keep them well watered for the forseeable future .Do you think I could find my water containers - not on your nelly - so a quick Amazon search and 2 new ones will arrive today - it just a bit too far from the tap to put a hose pipe down and I would spill loads if I used buckets! Anyone got an old milkmaid's yoke?
My friend with the pancreatic cancer has had some bad news - it isn't responding to chemo, and has spread. Her specialist is looking at other treatments. She is quite sanguine about it all ( well outwardly) .I will pop in and see her later- you just feel so helpless in these circumstances.
Just filled car with fuel ready for the trip to see DS on Sunday - ouch!!!
Hugs and spoons as always. Get well soon all our fallers etc.
Mehefin aka Derek
