This is an email that i have written to this company? I shall now put this on here for other people to read. Keep away from these people if you value or mental health. Some of the text I out on originally has been cut out. It was originally put on Trustpilot to help them. Fat chance of that. I still can't get my head around this company. But have to draw a line under it for my own mental health.

Hi my names [Removed by Forum Team]. Your office i attended was the one situated Malvern Worcestershire. Took my car to be valued went through the necessary process, including the poking and prodding, was finally given the price of £1335 . I was then eventually offered to sign for the sale to go through. I was then given something like an ipad to sign for the transaction to go through. I was offered a number of days for when the money would be in the bank , which we chose the same day. When handed the pad i struggled to read through documents due to my condition, I suffer with severe Adhd and struggle with anything like this. I also felt a little bit rushed by the whole process which was made worse by awful internet connection apparently , according to your sales person. When I got home, I went on to my bank. Not necessarily to check whether you had paid, but for something else and noticed that I only had a £135 in my bank. Completely flabberghasted by the whole thing. It has caused a lot of mental strain. As the money for the car was needed for other things. That's why we were selling it. Although the car is not in its pristine condition, it is a car that I used for work and was very reliable.Would not sell it for that price. I just can't decide whether or not I've been scammed or not.But from here , I will go to trust pilot , and then I am going to trading standards. Trust pilot will be immediately and so will trading standards.I would like a reply by tomorrow. [Removed by Forum Team] is the reg. The car was not an ordinary car to me by any standards. It held some memories including some of those with my mum that ive just lost , so it was important for me to get the right deal. And not this complete fiasco , you have caused me so much upset. I trusted you.
They replied back basically said I was lying. And then I the next email they offered the car to us as long as we collected from the auctioneers place I'll pop their last email on.

Hello,
Thank you for getting back in touch.
Following our investigation with the branch, we are satisfied that the price offered appropriately reflected the vehicle’s history and condition.
However we have given the matter further consideration and if you are not now happy with the sale, as a goodwill gesture we would be happy to cancel the sale and you can collect the vehicle from the auction site where it is currently being held, upon receipt of the returned funds (please note that the funds would need to be returned and the vehicle collected within the next 7 days (commencing 27/04/26)).
Also please note, our systems will have already notified the DVLA that the vehicle is “in trade”. This happens automatically the day after the sale. Therefore you will need to register the vehicle back in your name and obtain a new V5, when the vehicle is back in your possession
Please let us know if this is a path you would like to take and we will be more than happy to provide you with the relevant account details.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,

Hema

Replied to this saying too little too late. All I wanted was my car back on the same day in Malvern the car auctioneers was in Walsall. I look at Trading standards but couldn't work out how to use it. Unfortunately I struggle with things like this.

@BradderzLFC your post has been reported for too much personal information.

If you can, edit out your name, address and registration number.

WBAC are not the people to sell to if you want to get some kind of emotional involvement in the deal.

They're the buyer-of-last-resort, the "get it out of my sight" buyer. They shove it on a transporter and into an auction.

They don't want scruffy 18yo cars with six weeks' ticket left on them. There's no margin in them. They're inevitably going to give you bottom dollar.

You say you have ADHD etc - is it possible you simply mis-read £135 as £1,335? Because - honestly - I'd find the latter figure more surprising than the former…

Not clear what the actual reg is as you are missing a digit somewhere but if it was a Toyota Auris MVO8 RKE then putting this into WBAC website gives £635 pre inspection so I can't see the offer on the day being double that. You also elected for same day payment which incurs a fee.

I don't think this goes well in your favour as it might be seen that you didn't want to try and mitigate the situation

'Replied to this saying too little too late. All I wanted was my car back on the same day in Malvern the car auctioneers was in Walsall. I look at Trading standards but couldn't work out how to use it. Unfortunately I struggle with things like this.'

Their response suggests they were trying to help you and wanting something they couldn't supply was not a helpful response from you. You might have wanted to collect the car back from the place you dropped it on the same day, but if it was physically not there then I can't see what else they could have offered. WBAC do low ball, I won't argue against you on that but expecting them to incur the cost of bringing the car back to you may well be considered unreasonable.

Also, just out of interest, did you research the ball park value of the car at all before trying to sell it? If you had, and based on the valuation suggested above, did the £1335 not seem a bit excessive to you especially as WBAC would be expected to pay considerably less than book price?

If the offer to collect the car from the auction site is still there, personally I would accept the offer and find someone who could drive you to collect.

Did you get any paperwork at the time or an email giving you a breakdown of how they got to £135?
What was the initial estimate when you filled in the details online?

WBAC will generally offer you the bottom end of trade in, charge you a 'transaction fee' of £50 and an 'immediate payment fee' of £30, but that doesn't explain the difference.

Sadly I think them allowing you to collect the car from the auction site if you return the money is the best deal you're going to get. I'd respond to them immediately to take them up on that, because if you take too long and the car is sold there's no way to get it back.

The price you get when you enter the details is only a basic guide , unless your car is in absolute mint condition you'll be disappointed when you get there and they knock you down by a huge amount

I can't see that WBAC can do any more in this situation.

It is an unfortunate misunderstanding / miscommunications that arose, but WBAC have offered to rewind the deal so long as you collect the car from where it is now (which avoids WBAC incurring unnecessary cost but accept they have already incurred costs to take the car in, transport it and list in the auction catalogue and storage until you collect).

I think the most pragmatic thing to do now is respond to thank WBAC for their understanding, apologise for your initial rash response, and confirm you will go ahead with rewinding the deal then make the arrangements to return the money and collect the car in the time frames acceptable.

Assuming that rewind is still open to you to accept and the car has not now been auctioned in the mean time on the basis of your rejection of the rewind.
