Naive thinking HMRC will reply in writing?

I've just checked and we posted Mum's request for recalculation of tax under HMRC manual EIM75020 before the end of April 2025. No response yet.
According to those helpful links, she should have received a reply a month ago. She is 84 and doesn't have an online personal tax account set up, so we can't do anything online. She won't ring them as she won't know what to say, and I am not local. I despair!

Just to update this - she received a reply dated 6 April 2026 (from a letter to HMRC dated 28 April 2025).
