Parking Eye Charge in Redditch
Hi,
I have a question regarding the legality of a parking charge when the address given by Parking Eye and within their app is for a completely different town? The car park location ID is registered as 802524 on the signs at the site in Redditch, but the location is listed as Slideshow Drive in Bromsgrove about 10 miles away and is also what is shown on the PCN. Is it worth appealing on the grounds that the contract should be invalid?
This is for a parking charge for being 3 minutes over the parking window as it took so long to try and actually pay for parking initially using their own Evology app. (2 hour 12 minutes "stay" for a 2 hour ticket)
Thanks

Its just an invoice for the alleged breach of the parking contract on that private property, so legality doesn't come into it, its currently an unregulated industry, so isnt as black and white as victims believe
Clearly companies can make mistakes, so yes you can challenge the content of the pcn invoice, it may be a mistake or error, but not invalid
The true test is that its either enforceable, or unenforceable , in law , based on contract law and precedents
Plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum is the best option, with an appeal as next on the list

A simple admin mistake is one thing but having a location ID that shows as a different car park and the car park that they claim to serve not even showing up in the app is something else entirely!
Just checked their actual PCN online and it shows as 0 time paid for so they clearly have no clue which car park they are looking after and telling people to pay for

So take them to task over it

I'll try my best!

Do an appeal pointing out the issue with the location code. Are you sure? Take photos of the sign first this weekend, if local.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
