Hargreaves Lansdown Estate department
Anyone have experience of dealing with the HL Estate department in relation to a deceased accountant holder?
We are currently 14 months past our father passing and still attempting to get HL to resolve the outstanding issues to allow us to close his accounts. Emails and secure messages all go unanswered for months. Calls to HL take hours and lead to frustration and dead ends.
Twice we've been sent down the wrong path by the 'advisors', prompting a need to resupply documentation. The amount we've spent on next-day signed paperwork being sent to them is in the hundreds.
Thankfully we are down to only one holding left to deal with, however this is now four months of me chasing HL to help.
If there is any advice, contact numbers or emails, or suggestions that may help us get them interested in helping it would be most welcome. The worst is that I have been a HL customer myself for twenty plus years and not had issue, it just seems the Estate department doesn't care.

This should be escalated to director level within HL. Perhaps a Customer Service Director.
At the very least you should raise a formal complaint.Mortgage free
