Lost receipts, warranty claims and general hassle
Hi all- I've lost numerous receipts, missed out on warranty claims and lost out on refunds/returns/exchanges as a result. How does everyone else keep a track of theirs seeing as it's all now digital?

This is where email receipts are a real boon. Never lost.

Exactly as above.
Oh no, our vacuum has broke. Open Outlook, type "vacuum" in the search bar, boom there's the receipt.
I can then workout if it's covered under warranty or not.
Before I used to have a kitchen drawer full of receipts, I'd have to rummage through it and my wife would tell me off because we also had batteries and medicine in there so it was always a mess.

As above and above. Get something in an email. You can also save the email as a file. I use the electronic sticky notes as well to keep track. If you have paper receipts, take a photo as well. Some receipts fade away.

I can't relate, what do you struggle with in particular?
If your email is swamped with junk, getting in good habits by unsubscribing to marketing emails (or paying attention not to join mailing lists to begin with) pays dividends over time.
You could also do a bit of spring cleaning by bulk-deleting marketing emails you don't need.
I say this thinking of my wife, who probably gets 10-20 marketing emails a day, every day from clothing companies!

Struggle why?
Because there were no e-mails (bought in a store)? Because you deletted the emails?
If it's the former, take a photo of the receipt and send it to yourself.
If the latter, don't do this and, even better, create a special folder in your mailbox for such emails. As simple as that.

Taking photo of receipts is always a good idea, the originals tend to fade over time and are often illegible after a year. Store/email to self with a meaningful name "vacuum receipt 22april26 argos" or somesuch.

I tend to buy such things as electricals online, either for home delivery or to collect in store, so receipts tend to be emailed. I don't make any special effort to file the emails away, they just sit in my Gmail inbox.
If I need to find a receipt I search for it, using distinctive words likely to appear in the email, e.g., Indesit Dishwasher.
On a couple of occasions when I couldn't find the email I was able to remember where I bought the item (ao.com, John Lewis etc) and sign into my account on their website.
It's not perfect but it's a lot more successful than trying to keep track of bits of paper, which always tended to either get thrown away or stay in my wallet until they were worn out and illegible!
