Morning All
Same sky here Gers, thanks for the start.
Some throws from the living room are just finishing in the WM so will peg them out before I go to work, looks like it will be a nice day again although still a bit chilly.
Managed to get the grass cut yesterday so it's looking a bit tidier out the back, I had quite a lot of garden waste in bags, too much for the normal bin and I'm not paying for the garden bin permit so I took them to work and dumped them in the big bins to be emptied today.
Hope your Mum's appointments go well Ruby.
Bet everyone was happy to see you dp1.
The concert sounds fab Mehefin.
I need to shop for a birthday present later, will do it on the way home from work then an evening of relaxation!
Take care. XX

Morning all
Looking sunny out there this morning but temperature still a bit low and still windy.
Nothing planned today except a bit of housework and some ironing to do
Hope everyone has a good day x

Managed to stir myself! Despite it all looking lovely outside it's still very cold though with a promise of some heat later.
The bus back yesterday was busy, lots of people heading for the ferry to Islay and a large group of women going to Inveraray to do some walking. The wait was livened up by the sudden bursting of a water main which sent a huge plume of water shooting over the road beside the bus station. Very spectacular, pity the poor people who then had no water or low pressure. Was still spurting away when we left.
Just before teatime yesterday I decided to do a white washing load and then hung it out overnight. My reasoning was that a neighbour is coming this morning to finally sort out the bedroom drawers and I have to go out so it was easier to do last night. They'll be dry by the time I get home. It's the start of school exams today, I'm out twice this week, so need to plan things around it.
I hope that everyone and their families are doing OK. No more falling over, falling out or taking ill. Hugs all round.

Morning folks. Yesterday would have been lovely if that blooming wind hadn't been blowing. Today promises to be similar with all day sun and the wind returning shortly. At the moment all is calm and still.
I'm being thoroughly lazy, mostly reading or snooker watching. (And eating too much!!) Take care all be safe. X

Good morning
Another bright start but the wind from yesterday is still hanging around, bringing temperatures down.
Not sure what's on the cards for today, if nothing much there's always the usual chores to do, or I can carry on with washing down the wall and skirting in the hall. Such excitement.
Southern fried chicken steaks with salad, coleslaw and new potatoes (chips) tonight.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but still quite chilly, yesterday turned very cold and I was tempted to light the fire in the evening but retreated to bed instead.
I have two meetings today, one with a trustee of the company where I picked up the work with O, I am meeting another carer and we are going to see him we will explain how it’s not safe for people to lone work there and that the company need to do a home check and risk assess the house and the facilities for carers staying there as they were dismal - dirty sheets and towels and no working oven etc, it should be an interesting meeting.
The other meeting this afternoon is with my shared lives person and her manager as O’s mum has put a complaint in about me saying that I should not work with vulnerable people 😡 the SL people are not worried as they know me and my record but need to show that they have met with me, I have witness statements from two other carers about how they were treated and copies of all the emails she sent me saying how wonderful I was, the woman is twisted and hitting out in anyway she can think of.
Dogs to be walked later and some housework to do.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks Gers.
Sounds like similar weather here too, sunny/windy.
Hopefully I am going for a walk up on the moors with DB1 and SiL this morning ,not sure about DH, he is still waiting for a phone call to collect the work van which means he might not be able to come.
Sausage and mash for tea later, and need to pick up my meat pack too.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all from a blustery but sunny Mehefinland. That east wind is biting!
Next door has a boar arrived for his ladies - gosh he is massive! Be interesting to see the resulting piglets in a few months time -interestingly it is typically 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days.!! Had to google it though as I had no idea.
Ordered the cloth needed to make the quilt for DS and future DIL last night. Ouch! The design is made up of over 2000 individual pieces! My friend says that is not uncommon , and one design she has uses in excess of 3500.My dining room resembles a fabric shop atm, with a massive die cutter, sewing machine and bolts of cloth to name just a few bits - some of which I have no idea what they are lol .It is going to be an interesting ride as they say.
Need to go and do a litter pick sometime today too- its always the same after the recycling team have been through on a windy day..
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek
