By collective action are you meaning having your co-workers stand by your side while you fight the good fight?
If that's so then think yourself lucky that you were able to ever actually call on your co-workers.
In my experience they can't be relied on at all, even when they say they'll stand by your side - they bolt at the last second because they don't want to rock the boat & it's better you taking flak than them.

Coolective action requires collective mind , the presence of a trades union and unless things get messy very quicjkly the recognition of that / Those TUs … also if TU membership pentration is low Strike Action or ASOS will have limited impact … also see relaince of 'extra' hours in retail / hospitality where those with contracted hours unless Managers, Genuine Supervisory Grades or Trainers often have 6 -16 hour contracts but work extensive 'extra' hours most of the year
