Letter of Claim - DCB LEGAL (parking charge)

I have been sent a letter of claim from dcb legal on behalf of smart parking limited regarding an unpaid parking charge. I have never received or experienced anything like this and the date this occurred was 21st March 2023 so I also have zero memory of this therefore can’t dispute.

Is this something I just go ahead and pay? Any advice welcome!

No, you don't pay them. You wait for the claim form, then acknowledge service and defend as in the Newbies thread

Is the attached image not the claim form? (sorry if this is a silly question)

No it's clearly not a court claim. It's a letter. You need to read the second post of NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST (which we won't link. See my signature).

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Is your V5C (log book) up-to-date with your current address and, more to the point, was it up-to-date at the date of the parking event? This is the usual reason why motorists don't get PCNs but then do get letters of claim because the PPC use a tracing agency.

Another DCBL LOC saying the amount due includes debt collection charges ??

DCBL have applied the OSNER/BPA scam of £70 which most judges will not allow because it is DOUBLE RECOVERY

If you do get a court claim, you will see DCBL then call the fake £70 add-on …… DAMAGES which of course is rubbish. Still DOUBLE RECOVERY

Play the game with DCBL just like 100's before you . If DCBL want to take a scam to court they will be spanked. Judges already know about the scam?
