Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Gers.
We didn't get any of the forecast rain yesterday and today should also be a dry and generally sunny day with a gentle breeze. Temperatures are about average for the time of year but it still feels cooler than it really is, thanks to an easterly wind.
Today I have three books to return and I may as well get the weekly top up shop while I'm out. My postal ballot form for the May elections has arrived and I could post that too but I haven't made up my mind yet who to vote for; so far only two of the five candidates has delivered a leaflet. For tonight's dinner I've defrosted a tub of corned beef hash for a pie filling with a suet crust pastry top, plus carrots and peas.
@Gers - Glad you enjoyed the David Olusoga event, safe journey home.
@Ruby - Sorry to hear your mum needs more hospital appointments next week but pleased your sister will be sharing duties with you.
@remmie and @Chrisca - What is it with men and their tool collections? I suppose they could have worse obsessions though! 😁
Have a good day all, take care. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -

My hubby is another with loads of different tools he is handy but doesn’t do half as much now as he used to but he also won’t throw nothing away I’m always sneaking stuff out of the house. Hi everyone,
I'm another one with a tool obsessive. It's been worse since he's been working on Chris and Crystal's stables, every job seems to need a new tool and he had a lot before he started.
We have decided to do something about the garden when we sell the Yorkshire house, it's small and we don't have a decent dining area any more so we want to have it revamped and probably get rid of the grass and most of the beds, probably keeping a few plants and have more pots, we'll have to see. Steve wants a sauna but I think it will be too much with the shed as well and I can't see him getting rid of the shed (see above).
He's golfing today, I hope he remembered sunscreen because he went in the new car (he keeps some in the old car). He's got it all set up to charge in the cheap periods of the night and reckons it will save us a fortune.
Ruby, your poor mum I hope they can sort it next week.
Gers,Lucky you, I love David Olusoga, he has such a gentle personality and is so erudite.
Have a good day.
