Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you enjoyed the show.
It's quite dull this morning, I've put the washing out so fingers crossed it cheers up.
Have a good trip Scarlet, are you going to Alnwick Gardens whilst you're there?
Work was very busy yesterday and I was quite exhausted when I got home! Hoping for a more relaxed day today.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX

David Olusoga was fascinating and highly entertaining whilst going through the history of four guns. I am so happy that I made the trip to see him, it's given me so much room for thought. Even the technical aspects of each were explained, there was some interesting technology being used too. Close up camera work when he handled the guns and QR questions for the audience which worked. Very impressive all round.
No hotel breakfast this time, I'm on the first bus so will be home by noon, I'll pick up a coffee at the station which will be enough until lunch. Meanwhile, I hope that everyone is doing well. I recall hospital appointments so 🤞 for them.

Morning all
Not quite as sunny today but not raining which is something, I have two people coming today and they have requested a walk with packed lunch I have to take them back an hour earlier than usual due to my appointment so a quieter day will suit.
We didn’t have the meatballs last night so they will be for tonight, we had spag bol instead which was delicious.
They had trouble getting the fluid from mum yesterday so we have to go back again next week, that means another two trips to the hospital next week as she has to go in for a blood test two days before, it’s a bit of a struggle to fit it all in but my sister and I will do it between us.
I have two meetings tomorrow and then Thursday I will resume the job search 🤞
Have good days all and take care xx

Good morning, thanks for starting us Gers, safe trip home.
It's a bit chilly here this morning, sun and cloud forecast for today.
Well, we went to Lids yesterday and DH got his tool accessory. I got another fiver off it with the app. Something else to live in the man shed. It's difficult to get in there and will be impossible soon. Still it keeps him happy. I asked him what I would do with all his "toys" if he wasn't here. His answer - Sell them, they're worth money. Oh well, I'll be a tool widow.
Not much planned for today, except catching up on chores, may do some laundry to put out. No idea what to have for tea, last night was the salmon. Plenty in the freezer, so will look for inspiration later.
Scarlet and TA, sorry I forgot you were both off on holidays. Have a lovely time.
Have a good day all, hugs to all who need them. Take care.

Morning all, thanks Gers, glad you enjoyed the talk. The weather seems a bit disappointing this morning after a lovely day yesterday. I ended up going with DH to collect some decking for DB2 in the morning and dropping it off at their house. He made us a coffee and it was warm enough to sit outside. It's lovely where they live now. Their back garden looks on to a farmers field and further across more fields and woods. Apparently a few years back someone dumped 4 peacocks on the land nearest to him but there is only 1 male left now and he says it keeps letting out a mournful cry ☹️but he does have the company of geese and pheasants.
After that we dropped the work van back with DS2 who is working at his mates house, also doing decking. We were invited to a bbq there once it's done. Headed home after that for some late lunch, bit of tidying in the back, and a catch up with next door, then picked DGS up. Thought we were going to be late when we saw a tailback and temp traffic lights but just made it. On the way back they were finishing off, we had to stop at the lights, the worker switched them off and picked them up and we got through before he did the ones on the other side of the road .
We had the beef stew and mash, then I did my online order for tomorrow and ordered a butchers meat pack too.
Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers have a good trip home
Weather has been good so I've been trying to do jobs in the garden but my shoulder is still sore.
Need a bit of shopping so I'll catch the bus to Sainsbury's.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.8 -
Morning all. The sun's out but I'm sure it's not very warm.
Nothing much planned for today. I was going to set out on a caching walk but DH tells me he has a dental hygienist appointment mid morning so can't do that. I'll do a shorter walk by myself and then finish the ironing.
DH is babysitting for DD early evening so we might have our main meal at lunchtime today.
Take care all.

Morning everyone
It's a bit dull here this morning but the sun is forecast to come out later, yesterday afternoon was lovely, we spent most of the afternoon outside in the garden.
It was nice to be back at work yesterday, I got lots of cuddles when I went in. We have a couple of new members of staff, so I met the first one yesterday, we're still looking for a new manager though.
Mam managed to use her new mobile last night, we had a nice chat before she went to bed. I'll go down for an hour or so this morning before work, then tomorrow I'm off so will have a longer visit.
I managed a half hour potter in the garden last night, it's bin day today so I wanted to get some dead bits in.
Little one had enjoyed her first day back at school.
Right better get moving, I hope everyone has a good day x

A bit cloudier today and that wind is back with avengence. Washing on the line so at least it should dry quicker.
Waiting for someone to turn up to give us a quote on double glazing. Hope he doesn't drag it out!
@remmie I've got a DH like yours. Our garage is full of 'tools'. I've never seen so many screwdrivers and drill bits in my life! Puts B*Q to shame
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all from Mehefinland
Sunday we went to Atlantic college for an International Celebration. The students were split into rough geographical areas throughout the world, and performed dances and songs from their respective areas. There was a significant number from South America and the far east. It was vibrant, a bit 'samey' sometimes, and very loud!! It was lovely to see them all proudly carrying their national flags, and quite few in national costume too.I wish I could bottle their enthusiasm and energy lol.
Been trying to pot on the myriad of nicotiana seedlings - I think every seed germinated !! Took some into choir last night to sell to raise funds too.
Supposed to be dog sitting later in preparation for Mum going to Jersey for a few nights - so need to get on with that asap.
Black bags have gone - just the recycling to go now- so I may wait until that has been collected before I collect the dog- not sure how she may react to the bins.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek
