UPVC window handle stuck
The handle on one of the UPVC windows in my house will only turn about 45 degrees, as a result of which I can't open the window. Applying pressure to different parts of the window, it seems the lock on the left corner is disengaged but the locks on the right and in the centre won't budge. I've tried replacing the handle but the same problem persists, so it must be the locking mechanism itself. Obviously hard to have a look when the window won't open! I've looked online but not found a solution that worked so far, anyone have any tips?

If you can provide a photo of the offending handle & window, someone might be able to tell you how to at least remove the handle and identify the problem. Alternatively, if you can find a local "window doctor", that most areas seem to have, they might be able to sort you out without costing too much.

Here's a photo showing the extent to which the handle can turn. Removing the handle isn't the issue (the handle you see is the new one I've put on) but it's hard to see where the issue might be so just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation where the handle can turn some of the way, but not the full 90 degrees, and the window remains locked.

As you say, it's likely to be the lock 'gearbox' - the part the spindle goes in to. Mine broke recently - what a pita. (Fortunately mine was on 'vent' setting, so there was a gap to get a tool in there.)
First try gently-but-firmly opening and closing the handle whilst firmly pulling the window shut towards you so as to remove friction on the sliders. Any improvement? Any extra travel?
The 'windowsmith' method is to insert a cranked device - even a slim Allen wrench - down between the opener and the frame, pushing past the sealing strip, and twisting it (it'll need a wrench on it for this) so it pushes the sliding 'lug' of the lock back towards the handle to help it along. You say one end unlocks ok, so you'd be focusing on the other one.
A similar window will tell you where along the bottom this lug sits.
