The new GOV.UK One Login
Having been involved in self-employment, business ownerships, partnerships etc., I have several Government Gateway emails and logins appropriate to each. The new GOV.UK One Login seems to be encouraging just one login, although depending on how it is introduced and presented, it seems that you can end up with more than one login. The ‘internet’ advice seems varied on whether you should have more than one, but also presents the advantages of doing this (mainly keeping business and personal dealings separate), as the GOV.UK system seems to allow this at the moment.
Your thoughts, advise and experiences would be greatly appreciated, TIA

despite having signed up for the one login service, when I tried to use it for HMRC, I am told it doesn’t exist. Even though I’ve used it before.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
I can see advantages in keeping business and personal details separate. I can also see advantages in keeping multiple different business details separate from each other. .Gov.UK disagrees …

One of the problems I'm having is receiving the security code to verify my identity for Companies House. According to the GOV.UK One helpline, they are being generated by Companies House, but they are arriving after the page has expired or they just come up as incorrect.
It also states that the email addresses must match. It doesn't seem appropriate to use my personal email address for the companies house registration etc.

…. and further down the line you'll need a fairly new phone, You need Android 10 or later to use the GOV.UK One Login app. So I'm buggered with my Android 9 (which I thought was fairly new). So I will need to borrow someone's phone or make a trip to the Post Office to complete this lovely task asap.
Oh what a malarkey.

Android 9 is out of support hasn't been getting security patches for about 4 years.
I have a gov.one account but HMRC won't let me use it to log in to a self assessment account originally created with gov gateway, so there is not much 'one' about it.

HMRC is starting to replace the Government Gateway with the new One Login service. As part of the testing process only a limited number of new online users have been given access to One Login. We have guidance about this and HMRC's other online services on our website: https://www.litrg.org.uk/tax-nic/how-tax-collected/online-tax-accounts
