Parking court order received after not reading previous PCNs

I wanted advice on this please. So I have received the letter below asking for a ridiculous amount of money. I did not even know about this till recently.

I have not seen the previous letters as they were delivered to the incorrect address. I definitely do not want to pay the ridiculous amount they requested which has added up to £340

Responses I am considering:

-This letter is for the driver of the vehicle, I was not the driver at the time- I am not legally required to share the driver information

-The letters were incorrectly delivered to the address and was not aware

-I will go to the parking area and take photos and mention that the charges were not correctly displayed

Any help would be appreciated

Looks like the Money Claim from the CNBC in Northampton went to an old address, so is that the case. ?

    Or

Did the claim come to the correct address. )

Has the letter of claim gone to the correct current address or an old address. ?

Has the letter of default Judgment gone to the correct current address or an old address. ?

    Or

Have they all gone to an old address that have passed the letters to you elsewhere ?

Seems to me that its a default Judgment from Parking Eye via DCB Legal LTD

The Other separate letter is a Letter of Claim from DCB Legal on behalf of UKPC

You are sadly in a confused pickle here, these documents are for two PCN's not one and two different parking companies UKPC and Parking Eye.

One is a letter of claim from DCBL on behalf of UKPC which can be seen off with help from here.

The other is a CCJ that was entered against you in February on behalf of Parking Eye, I think you missed the boat on that one.

The reason you never got details before must be down to the V5C for the vehicle being registered at a previous address.

More help will be along soon from regulars on here.

The CCJ that was entered against you in February on behalf of ParkingEye could be set aside if you file a N244. Costs £313 fee and you'd need to convince the court that you have good prospects of defence.

Did you ignore a court claim form in January? Why ignore a Claim?

It has gone to an older address, not the one in my v5 at the time. Will this give me grounds to dispute?

It was at a previous address, did not see it. My V5C at the time was also at a different address

Are there two or three addresses in play? Have you now updated your V5C with DVLA? Did the claimant have your correct address but still sent the claim form to an incorrect address?

CCJ set aside then. See post 2 of the NEWBIES FAQs thread about CCJ set asides.

Keep your letters separate as you have two cases on the go.

Re the LBC (the one not yet at claim stage) you need to send DCB Legal the response also in the second post of the NEWBIES thread, to confirm your address for service of the Claim Form, or this will happen again next month with this second one.

Hi, so there are 2 addresses. they went to the incorrect one. I have checked the records with the DVLA and they have indeed sent it to the incorrect address. I wonder how the got the other address if my car was not registered to it

I have decided to start AOS. I have also asked DCB legal for a settlement figure where we both are happy.

I have checked my address on DVLA and it is my correct one- they have indeed sent it to the wrong address.

I am indeed a bit nervous.

    Any help would be appreciated.

What are the chances of me winning?

Dcb Legal typically discontinue before the hearing fee is due to be paid, so its probably not about winning, but seeing them off throughout, until they discontinue

If this is a new claim , by DCB LEGAL on behalf of UKPC, , start a new thread about it please ( leaving this thread to the Parking Eye CCJ. )

    Then

Follow the 8 steps in the 1st post in the defence template thread in announcements, no offers, dispute the whole claim

Is this the second claim. ? Recent. ? Who is the claimant. UKPC. ?

Copy and paste your new case MCOL claim history in the newbies thread ( or a screenshot. )

Post the Issue date from the top right of the claim form in te new thread too

Also post a redacted picture of the POC from the lower left of the claim form after hiding the VRM details first
